Mark Williams is going to be a really good player, in the same mold as Gobert.

But Gobert just physically dominated him tonight and was the more aggressive player.
Williams on the bad end of a couple tough foul calls, if he adds a little more muscle I really like his future.

Jaden’s injuries are taking really long to heal, both of them so far. Seems overly cautionary. Be nice to get them back and give the older guys a night off and still keep the great start going.

But don't you know 3 bigs can't work!?? :D

I couldn't agree more with your take on KAT. His composure and teamwork has been outstanding after a really rough start to the year.
I think Rudy is earning his teammates respect this year with his effort and play.

Any time you go into a new environment with new people, you start over having to earn that.
Doesn't matter if you are Defensive Player of Year or G-Leaguer.
I don't think that really happened on last year's team.

Plus, Rudy was terrible last year and a lot had to do with what the coaches had him do. Thank god the staff finally changed both the offensive and defensive schemes this year and focused on defense. Rudy now defends and dunks. Which is what he should have been doing last year.

It feels surreal that the Wolves are legit contenders. Just conditioned to think the rug is going to pulled out

Man people on here really overreact so much. If you follow game threads here, you'd think we are a mediocre team that doesn't put in much effort. Thing is you can't win every one of 82 games and you are gonna have games where either you just can't make an open shot or opponents just can't miss. Some People here overreact so much just after first, second quarters

He was not terrible, just wasn’t as good as usual. He still averaged a double double, got the defense into the top 10 and is a major reason Towns could miss 50+ games and the team still make the playoffs.

I tought we loose this one as Charlotte have a very good night shooting and Mike missing all shoot. But we are much more samrt than before and find a way to get this one. Hat to the 3 bigs and to Mike in the fourth. Time to rest and get ready for next one. Hopefully, ANT and Jaden are back.

Great point. I said earlier that this four game stretch against weaker teams would convince me whether the Wolves were different than last year. I think the answer is yes. Last year, this would have been a loss. All the wins won’t be beautiful basketball - you need to show you can win ugly games too.

Taking care of business.

Very well stated, but he was terrible compared to what I had come to expect from Rudy 3X DPoY.

OK. I'll go with the semantics. When you count in all the dropped passes, fumbled balls, etc he wasn't that effective.

The difference between Rudy this year and last year is night and day! I expected this years Rudy last year. That's all I'm saying.

Compared to this year he WAS terrible last year.

MIN’s remaining schedule is the third easiest, according to Tankathon. Not saying we can’t lose to bad teams, but tonight’s ugly win makes me feel like we aren’t last year’s team.

And our wins have been big. Here are the top 6 teams in Net Rating this year.

9.5 BOS
8.5 OKC
7.0 PHI
6.5 MIN
5.8 NYK
5.2 DEN

MIN has played each of these teams once, and our record is 5-0.

They’re just waiting to get to 16. Then they’ll consent to losing more.

This one felt like it was going to be the let down like so many other “matinee” against a struggling team. Hard to get that narrative out of your head after 30+. Wasn’t pretty but they did it.

As far as Rudy heard a lot that last year was trying to make him what he’s not on offense and him not trusting the defense. Think he’s accepted his role on O and others believe in D.

Regarding KAT I think if you said what type of player would compliment Ant best hard to think of a better choice. Always loved the talent but he’s been so much better as far as composure and facilitation.

It’s early but damn this team is fun.
