We were averaging 111-112 OFFRTG in the Bud era in the 4th quarter on 57-58 TS%(This season its 66%) and now this in just 20 games of Dame and Giannis.

I know some of it is having your best five offensive players out there, but why can’t they also do that at the start of each half with those same five?

Right, like why can’t we just build the whole airplane out of the same material as the black box?

Switched quickly from a great defensive team/inconsistent offensively to a great offensively team/below-average defensive team.

Anyways, as far as this game I don't understand how someone can dislike the results. Hawks are a decent team, none of their stars were out, and we won.

It's more of an issue when we are facing bottom feeders and they are missing 2-3 of their best players.

Really? I always thought he was someone that didn't care and went through the motions. Like he would ask a question just to get the quote to fit his story, but it was always either a softball story from the pr department or genetic game story. No real cake add imo

Underrated part of the Hawks is how Bogdan looks 10% more like an arms dealer every season

I'm not taking super seriously those super advanced stats but they are interesting though.
Based on the stats bellow we've been unlucky so far based on the shot quality we allow and the percentages of the opponent.
Ofc **** Boston is at the top quarter.

Some of FT% against is knowing who to foul and who not to foul, but the Celtics at 72% FT against and Bucks at 82.3% FT% against both seem likely to change in opposite directions. Especially if we stop being overly aggressive with perimeter players.

There is something to be said though for making players work hard. When a team’s game plan is poorly developed and the other team doesn’t need to expend as much energy to score I’d expect their free throw pcts could be on the better side of average due to that alone.

Gardner is a freelancer for the AP according to his Twitter account. But I thought he pretty much retired. He hasn't posted on Twitter for a couple of years. Jim O covered the game last night. Not sure what Gardner was doing there. He phoned it in as the beat reporter but covered mostly lousy teams
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

That’s fair, but by the end of the year, based on several years of evidence, ALL teams will cluster between ~75% and ~80%.

They all phone it in. I'm talking about the way Jim asks questions. His phrasing and how he just yaps get on my nerves a bit lol. Charles at least had a rapport with Giannis.

I would expect that these metrics take into account who's shooting the FTs, but could be wrong. If so it really taxes credulity. 32 more made FTs than expected based purely on luck? Hell of a bad run!

Inflation. And I think of number of those people had a lot of retirement tied up in Journal Company stock.

Good observation. A mustache, a few wrinkles, and before you know it he'll be a dead wringer for Russian arms dealer Viktor "Merchant of Death" Bout. He's already mastered the vacant stare.

Maybe it's the mustache, maybe it's the bangs, maybe it's both but are we sure that's not the Fuhrer of Nazi Germany hiding out in Argentina?

So we’re officially 20 games in. Hasn’t been pretty but hasn’t been a disaster either. Curious about what marks you give to the following:
* Griff
* Dame
* Giannis
* Young guys (Green, AJax, Marjon)

On the plus side, the offence looks a lot better and we’ve still got 62 more games to build on it. Dame has fixed a lot of the issues the old team had.

Negative side is our D obv. I don’t know if we’re coasting or confused but we can’t expect to go far without making some significant leaps come playoffs.

We desperately need one of our young guys to pan out.

I’m still on the fence about Griff but I don’t think he’ll be sacked this year unless something really crazy goes down in the final 62 games. For better or worse, we’re tethered to Griff’s ship for the rest of the season.
