We aren't the only insecure board. Celtics board

I was hoping Jrue would the calming, confident presence in these big moments that the team lacked in the past, but tbh he seems like one of the most frantic and uncool players out there.

I swore Holiday was a better offensive player than we’ve seen this year.

But then again I thought the same about Brogdon last year.

Mazzulla is a trash coach. Those 50 million lineup changes was garbage. Guy has zero feel for the game.

You can never trust this team in a close game. Whether it’s offense or defense they don’t get it done late in big games.

This team isn’t winning anything of importance.

JT literally never stops talking to the refs. It's pathetic. He gets no calls because of it, but he can't STFU.
I have a hard time rooting for him.

Once again, other teams feed off the weakness they sense in the Celtics. The whole team just reeks of a sense being totally uncomfortable in close games, they are waiting to lose and other teams feed off that. Front running team that needs to be up by 20 in the 4th to win.

If a game really matters, Joe will make sure that we lose. Fire this clown. Bring a proper coach. Even Doc Rivers will do. Yes, I am that desperate.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I'll always love Jrue but yeah I'm glad the whole thing where everyone outside of WI pretends he was a two-way superstar is done now

It’s like Celtics fans have Game 5 in the 2022 playoffs PTSD where they think that’s the version of Jrue they were always gonna get. Did they like, not watch him for the entire rest of that series?

There's been plenty of what-if talk here on Hali and the 76ers, but the Celtics came close to getting him as well, they were sitting 14th (and had two other late 1sts) when he slid to #12.

For fun, here are the picks in the 2020 draft between Ant and Hali, his slide through that gap altered the league for the next decade

2. Warriors draft James Wiseman
3. Hornets draft LaMelo Ball
4. Bulls draft Patrick Williams
5. Cavaliers draft Isaac Okoro
6. Hawks draft Onyeka Okongwu
7. Pistons draft Killian Hayes
8. Knicks draft Obi Toppin
9. Wizards draft Deni Avdija
10. Suns draft Jalen Smith
11. Spurs draft Devin Vassell

For all the changes, Boston still gets the yips offensively big time in crunch games.

Indy is the worst defence in the league (I think) and Boston looked pretty inept at times at getting decent looks.

Just didn't understand the JAG comment.

OH! I started questioning if Jrue did something dirty that I missed. Was hoping that Celtic way wasn't rubbing off on him.

I feel 55-70 year old men call people Jags. I have no idea what that means....it sounds like it should be offensive but isn't? Just another word for ahole?

I thought I was taking crazy pills when there were people saying “Is Jrue better than Dame?” Like did no one watch that Heat series? Jrue was the Bucks worst player and it wasn’t close.

At least for professional wrestling it is a slightly derogatory term “Al Snow is Just A Guy, he’ll never be a main eventer or star.” Didn’t know it was used as hoops slander as well.

I thought GOAT sounded derogatory when it first became a thing. Still think it sounds dumb.

Especially since it was preceded by 100 years of it referring to sucky player who screwed up.

Jag is Lost Gen/boomer-ish slang for a guy who is a drunkard, or an ass when they are drunk, also extended to "He's a real jagoff."
Amos Barshad: "So you got a job, a place to live, a license? What’s left?"

Giannis: “Nothing. Just get a ring now.”

Woof. Lamelo, Okongwu and Vassell are good players. Of course Detroit took Killian Hayes over Haliburton
