Charles Lee, Cassell, Van Gundy, and still have problems offensively closing games...
Maybe go with a Tatum post-up late in a game like I mentioned how Tatum needed to post up more last season. Seems to happen only during the middle of a game when the offense needs to settle down.

The 4th was not the problem.

It was the 3rd because the Cs allowed the Pacers to have a double digit lead in a span of 3 and a half minutes.

That really raised the confidence of the Pacers.

The Pacers smelled blood, so to speak.

I'm just curious how far Hali can take his team.

2nd round exit would be my guess as their ceiling this season. Team can't defend. That will be exposed in the playoffs.

It was "late in the game" that was problematic. I think you need to read my words carefully and watch critical junctions of the game carefully. Most of the 4th quarter, both teams were neck and neck. I didn't like the kind of shots that were being generated from 1:33 left in the game to the last 40 seconds. Tatum missed a 27 foot pulled up with 1:33 left, next offensive possession White threw a bad pass with 47 seconds left, and out of a timeout Brown missed a 31 foot shot with 41 seconds left. First Tatum's strength is not the pullup three. Also, Brown's 3 point range doesn't extend to 31 feet. After those sequence of events, Celtics were basically done.

I like your posts, and you bring up a lot of good points. I partly agree with you here but would add Celtics should try to do both, improve late game offense and defense. I do think having Porzingis back and some rim protection will transform things considerably, but Celtics need to take smarter shots that play more to their strengths.

Last night is what happens when you lose the turnover battle 17 to 6 and the 3 point percentage battle .293% to .475%.

Amazing the game was even close really.

Or maybe I don't know, I don't expect any team to leave Tatum open much if at all so why doesn't he just post up and create an advantage for himself or if they double him find an open teammate? Tatum being the best player should really be the one creating open shots for teammates. Just spit balling.
