Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

3.6, 3.6, 2.7, 1.8 since the 2020 season until now.

Under 2 attempts per game since the 2017 season. Your point is valid as far as “going down” but this season is his 4th lowest season ever since his 1st 3yrs in the league so saying there’s no correlation with Dame joining the team seems off base.

The “Giannis is a dumb basketball player and needs a coach to tell him to stop shooting 3’s” talking point was so overblown and I’ve been saying it was overblown since Day 1 of the Griff era. But it’s also incredibly funny to me that when he even more drastically cuts his attempts down, neither he nor the new coaching staff can’t possibly get any credit.

Realistically it’s probably no one telling him to shoot less threes but more a function of having Dame around.

In prior seasons when Giannis was too tired to attack but Midds wasn’t on the court, he’d just pull the trigger on the top of the key three to take a possession “off”.

This season, he can just give the ball to Dame when he is exhausted.

Not to mention, Dame takes a lot of the offensive load from Giannis so he’s less likely to be absolutely exhausted on the court, so he can more frequently attack.

Over the last ten games, the Bucks are 3rd ORTG, 13th DRTG, 2nd in NET. Those are more like numbers of a potential championship team.

Outside of health, the key, of course, is defense. Finding a way to play consistent top 10 defense would be huge because the offense is already outstanding and they still don't really know what they are doing.

Don't know why people keep bringing this up when that stretch includes Miami, Boston, and Dallas. Our 1st 10-game stretch was easier and our net-rating sucked.

Yeah, I think its pretty clear that the Jrue to Dame transition isnt the sole reason for our defensive struggles. Other than on transition where he is frequently lazy to get back, I don't he's been the sieve a lot of people claimed he would be. He's had a surprising amount of really good defensive plays in clutch time this season.

I have to think it is a combination of things:
1. Realizing he will never be an efficient 3 point scorer
2. Different offense being played
3. Better spacing
He was 25 when he shot 4.7 a game. We still thought there was a chance he could become a 33%+ shooter at that point and we had Bledsoe so spacing was more necessary. Holiday shot 4.8/40% in 2021 compared to bledsoe's 3.5/34% so I think there was less need. Holiday then went on to take even more the next 2 years on high percentages. Now we have Dame who stretches the court out even more. It makes sense based on just teammates why it has been decreasing, but it obviously doesn't mean it is the whole story.

We also need to look at the necessity of Giannis shooting 3s. Right now he is getting to the lane without getting knocked over. In the past, he had to fight for every basket. Even a little coverage on his 3s allowed him more room at the rim. I don't think he needs that this year. So I don't think Giannis shooting <2 3s a game would have worked as well in prior years.

Way I see it is it comes down to whoever the particular opponent is. More success against some teams, less success against others.

Nay. Way to much for that fraud. Just get Kris Dunn instead. Dunn is shooting 44% from 3 after shooting the 3 great last year. Just a $2.5 million contract. Premier defender.

If tonight is any indication, Quickley seems like the odd man out in NY. They have too many guards. Is there anything we can offer them that would work?
