Yes. You see it more in college where a team can't shoot, can't pass, can't really execute anything on offense but because of having a completely dominant offensive rebounder they can still score effectively (the easiest example would be the Dejuan Blair Pitt teams). However offensive rebounding even with absolutely physically dominant players generally does not translate vs elite teams. Great teams can generally defensively rebound very strongly as a team when they focus on it, which can eliminate the efficacy of offensive boards. It's something I would always look at when trying to pick a bracket, teams that overly rely on being a great offensive rebounding team are prone to being upset.

Why is rebounding so hard for Giannis and Brook?

I would say our offense is not bad, but it's unattractive at times. It is, however, effective. It's like we are constantly running our offense in a playoff-type atmosphere.

Giannis needs to make a simple pass there. Two guys have open threes.

I’d prefer an open Dame 3 to two Giannis FTs. Just make the pass.

We need to attack the basket and get them to commit fouls. That is exactly the strategy that Knicks are using.

Also Giannis needs to back away from being too aggressive on defense. If he gets into foul trouble, he already has 2, we will be in deep trouble.

Dame and Khris need to try and draw fouls.

ok carry on. he's mocked like he's a bum. Not being quite All NBA good is not the same as actually sucking. But i know many here are black and white on if you're not true star level good then the only other option is sucking. Meanwhile, he' l keep 20+ and 10+ while on winning teams. What's funny is takes on guys like him usually stem from being overpaid (like your derozan of 5ish years ago example). Randle isn't even overpaid. His next contract though, yea he can't be a 45 mil per year guy or you're not winning

Okay. Derozan was a good/borderline very good, but was never good enough to carry a team. Which is exactly what you described minus the contract. Randle is also one of the dumbest players in the league unlike Derozan.

ok so you admit he's good. I never said he's a #1 and carry a team to a tiitle type. You're not in the boat then that mocks him like a bum here. And sure he's dumb but yet he keeps being 1-3rd best player on winning teams. That's nothing to mock or act like he sucks like many do, but i know ringzzz

That was a really dumb foul Giannis. Why be so out of control there.

That's such a low bball IQ play by Giannis. Brook had him the whole way, just let him handle it. Bailed him out with a dumb foul because you get overzealous trying to make a flex block.

In the old days I would be worried about Giannis fouling out. Now, we can just unleash Dame Time.
