Okay. Derozan was a good/borderline very good, but was never good enough to carry a team. Which is exactly what you described minus the contract. Randle is also one of the dumbest players in the league unlike Derozan.

I wouldn't really want him on my team would you? Like some cases I see it, but he's always going to have issues being on great teams because of his playstyle relative to his skillset.

Is that why he shot over 40% from midrange on volume and 50%+ in that not quite at the rim but still under pressure floater range?

Thats what I mean. these things just aren't true. he shot 35% on high volume 3s last year. a couple years before he was over 40%. He had that crappy year overall maybe 3ish years ago where he was getting booed and everyone thinks thats the norm, that was the outlier.

It depends on the rest of your team and the contract if I'd want him. But, look at his teams, he's been winning and on generally overachieving teams for several years. And his teams have typically been good on D too. He's been a winning player for years now. Good enough to be 'the man' and expect a title, no. But the guy is a good player, plays hard etc just turns out this league is ridiculously filled with talent. If on the right the team there's no reason you couldn't win with him. I'd probably push him to play more bully on O rather than jumpshooting wing though, but he's getting results.
