Hey, refs got a review right. There's no way they could have given them that three and also the off-ball contact foul on a flop.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers Thread
Few things...
Storr, Crowl (especially those two), and Blackwell were wonderful. Great stuff.
Didn't imagine coming out of the first two games of this three game gauntlet with a 2-0 record. I am both in cruise control for the Arizona game, yet also now greedy as **** and wanting that one too.
I am not one to downplay teams that my teams beat. This MSU team is just...not impressive. Izzo has a history of coaching teams through early struggles and hitting stride late, but I'm not seeing much with this squad. It feels like the top 5 in the B10 is Purdue, Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio State, and Michigan State in some order...and it may just be that order.
ETA: Whoops, I meant possibly the right order just for MSU being fifth. I'm certainly ready to go up against Illinois (or OSU).

It was cute when MSU got it within 3

Good things happen when you shoot at least 35% from 3.

I have rescinded my early season complaint about the scheduling Gard did. No further questions at this time.

yea who would've thought this after that Providence game. They're in a really good spot now even if they lose the next game.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers Thread
I will also admit I thought Crowl was a lost cause.
They battled some crap shooting luck on both ends the first 5 or 6 games or whatever, that was my only bit of optimism. I didn’t realize there was a lot more to be optimistic about.
The offense is based around moving the ball because Blackwell and Storr can get to the basket. Now Wahl and Crowl are basically just secondary options instead of a post entry and running it through them. They’ve taught Crowl finally to just go up and dunk the ball. Some 3s go in early and they can withstand rallies with Storr and Blackwell getting to the basket as well as Wahl and Crowl with less attention/pressure on them.

The Badgers team is playing with alot of confidence right now. I don't expect then to upset Arizona but I do think they can keep it close. Alot to be excited about here

Re: Wisconsin Badgers Thread
This team could be dangerous. Storr is **** awesome, getting better about picking his spots, talented as hell. Crowl coming into his own. Blackwell is another awesome addition. Taking a lot off of Chucky/Wahl's plate.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers Thread
Granted, I didn't see the TN or Providence games but to me, this team doesn't have a glaring weakness. Maybe it will be post-defense? They'll have a play a team with a great inside presence that plays solid halfcourt sets to find out. AZ is pretty big but runs and guns which plays into UW's favor, IMO. Easier to speed up than slow down.

storr is the real deal. badgers always have lacked a finisher and guys that take pressure off the offense. the offense would always stall and just shoot up contested threes or someone like wahl would miss a bunny. storr can finish and create for himself and get to the line.

I didn't see last night due to peacock and bucks game. But in general as long as they don't resort back to dumping the ball into a double post offense while everyone stands around they should alright. Providence they went right back into that crap and they got killed, the other games for the most part that hasn't happened and have done alright. Though 2H vs Marq when they started to do that for a bit and almost blew it, 1H was passing and moving and shooting confidently.
The starters on D should generally be fine on post D with two thicker vets. But if Crawl gets fouls its a big weakness behind him, like last year. Blackwell/Storr certainly help the normal UW problem of shot creation(and overall shooting) vs heavy ball pressure but when it comes down to it I still think that will be their biggest issue. It was huge vs Prov and 2H Marq. Usually it is a problem vs MSU too but I didn't watch last night or any MSU this year yet so idk, but maybe they have improved enough it won't be the glaring issue of the past.
