i think a big part of it is the advancements in sports science. lebron is incredible but league-wide guys are maintaining their play later into their careers. a 6'3 guard like curry playing like he is at 36 is unheard of, durant playing like he is at 35 with the injuries he's had is crazy, etc. even in other sports that applies, like tom brady playing until 45 and playing his best in the latest years of his career.

i think skill development is the other factor. it's easier to stay in the league after you've a step if you're really skilled.

idk if you seen this aaron rogers stuff. but his recovery has been insane. if he was an nba player, he might have been able to play by the nba regular season.

Not making "claims" when I stated a fact a poster on this site had it on good authority (with great supporting details btw) Lebron was using other means of "playing at a high level" and the mods deleted it.

I also dont need a burden of proof to state the obvious of what is happening in society from a contextual standpoint of why certain things can have plausibility. Have you been on Google today at all?
