That is a fair question.

Despite significant injuries and losses to all the worst teams in the league both he and the GM continue to insist that this team can make the playoffs. Also he is “Old School” believing that you win with veterans and young players have to earn their place. Perhaps true but inconsistent and maddening since the GM has stocked literally half the roster with 20 year olds who Clifford won’t play.

We didn't really only play 8 guys though, it was more like 6 since Ish only played 14mins and Bryce only played 16 and they scored a whopping 5 points combined.

Thor, Nick Smith and even Bouknight could've played some. Maledon. Heck, see what Black can do.

We didn't need to play 3 players 40 minutes in a regular season game in early December. See what the other players can do. Smith especially, we literally just drafted him in the 1st round and he's shown some scoring potential already.

Cliff is way too stringent in his rotation, always has been.

blame the roster construction. Clifford will never play guys he doesn't think will help him win games right here and now, and with LaMelo and Mark out, we only have five NBA rotation caliber players. Kupchak needs to be gone asap, we can't afford to have him make any more moves for us.

Good effort defensively last night, we held Bulls to under 30 in 3/4 quarters. Including 48 in the first half.
You aren't going to win most nights in the NBA shooting 27% from 3.

Our offense is really reliant on LaMelo in the PnR. Hard to not feel that loss right unless Terry is on another planet shotmaking.

yeah Clifford is probably sick of what he gets from Thor, Bouknight and Theo. He's seen enough of them to make a decision.
I would play Nick Smith if he keeps his 3 pt shooting up.
