Little Steiny doesn't have the stones or the money that Uncle Stevie does.

Unless Steve has the balls to hand out a Saudi Arabia type deal he's not gonna win this.

Yeah, he was a pretty consistent pitcher. Hopefully, Yankees get Yamamoto.

More than consistent...the man was a stud who just never got the opportunity he should have. It's also not easy to pitch in New York, and we need to appreciate that. It stinks to keep taking guys from Oakland (Eff Jeff Fisher), and then let guys like Montgomery get away.

I don't hate that Hal is spending again and we win this trade, but it hurts when I think about the amount of talent on the FA market years ago, some of them not even requiring pick compensation and Hal just sitting on his profits after years of cutting costs.

Let's hope Hal isn't closing the wallet after that.

Gimme Yamamoto. Replace Stanton's body parts with some robotic limbs. I dunno about Rodon -- I really liked him before we signed him -- make him hang out with Mussina for the whole summer.

Even at his worst years in SD he'd be the second best Yankee behind Judge. If he's at his best then he's the best hitter in Baseball.

They already turned down $440 million/15 years from the Nationals. Wonder if they want that same contract or even more from the Yankees.

Money wasn't the issue for Soto when it came to the Nats.

You guys can't afford both Soto and Yamamoto. Or, rather, you can but you won't got over $300, as I understand it.

I'll believe it when I see it with Hal. He said this after Judge last year and ended up doing fuq all and we saw the disaster that ensued after that

Did Hal and Cashman fly to Japan to visit with Yoshi and his family like Cohen and Stearns did?

I could see Cashman doing nothing else this winter and calling Yankee fans spoiled and ungrateful idiots after getting them Soto.

Mets will get Jordan Montgomery, who is actually really good. They just can’t resist signing ex-Yankees

I honestly don't mind if the Yankees sign him too. Would move Clarke Schmidt back to the bullpen.

Monty was good here but better when he left. I hear they let him use another pitch.
I would love him back and he said he loved it here.
