I noticed in the second half he looked....off. Normally tight games are ones he loves playing in.

He and Dame seem too disconnected. And not in terms of personality, but just on the court. Seems weird.

It's the lack of effort. You can't go though all the trouble to score a basket on offense and 4seconds later get scored one. That's not his style of playing. To me he seemed disinterested in trying. Almost like it's pointless.

Dame and Giannis say all the right things but it seems to me they don't pass enough to eachother. Especially this game

I'm hardly indifferent believe me. There's a middle ground that 95% of this board is on the wrong side of everytime we lose. It's fine It's just exhausting to keep up with.

I don't know. I thought Bud was telling guys not to defend the corner 3.

Against teams like the pacers, you need to be able to play small ball to close games out. At the very least it needs to be an option, and with Jae out, we just don’t have that, maybe even with him, too.

Agreed. Griffin is obviously in over his head but a lot of these issues are on the players too. Our guys are getting rebounds ripped right from their hands on the regular. No boxing out. Tons of low percentage passes that are getting picked off.

Yeha man, shame on Giannis that he cannot defend all 5 positions at once while scoring 40 and playing for 41 minutes.

Right! One man can only do so much and has only so much energy to give. He had to use it all up just to keep us within 12
Bobby, Giannis, and Lopez should never be out by the 3pt line. Even Midds cant be out there.

Didn't get to start watching until the 3rd. What was with the Dame hangover narrative? Was it just that he was playing poorly?

He looked under the weather to me on Tuesday (super bloodshot eyes and slow start). I have a hunch he's playing thru an illness/virus.

weve not been good this year tho. i mean weve been lucky...but thats not good. and at some point its ok to lose it a little if you had expectations.

in my case its still about breaking the mold of what we were. it sucks that its gone. were something different and its heartwrenching to know the old version of us is over. maybe that was inevitable anyway but either way now it sucks. i feel like were the clippers or some ****

Yeah your only option is to switch that pick and roll or hope Turner misses wide open 3s. That’s why we had to play so much zone. Anytime we had Brook out there Haliburton was attacking it. That and our bench getting obliterated is the game

We really miss Jrue's ability to fight through screens and funnel the ball carrier into Brook instead of just a straight switch.

Against teams like Indy that have a shooting 5, I'm not sure Brook can play with Dame and Beas out there. Either Hali kills you in the Brook iso, or he kills you driving down hill hitting the open roll man.

It's not really Brook's fault, but we prob should be playing Giannis at the 5 (at least in the closing stages) vs teams like this (Boston too). We need Jae back too (and a version of him that can play defence).

We didnt lose this game on 3 pt shooting tbey didnt even shoot 20%.Jrue was just roasted by hali to a tune of 30 points. We lost cause our rebounding has vanished right b4 our eyes in 1 off season

Griffin's system worked on that part but when both Giannis and Brook come out so far out of the paint to deny each 3 you can't even box out most of the time. If we had played prime Bud's drop defense they shoot 50 open 3s and they make +20 with ease scoring +140 points in the end. We get torched anyway but atleast with the 2nd option we grab all the rebounds of the shots they miss by mere luck and we avoid the wide open dunks and layups they got tonight.

A series against Indiana wouldn't go 7... and it wouldn't go the way most would expect.

And furthermore, I submit the Bucks must fire Adrian Griffin.
You are correct about it not going 7 games. Pacers would win one or maybe two. I would welcome a series against them in the playoffs as long as I didn't have to listen to the ESPN broadcast.

Pacers were trying to keep the ball out of Dame's hands and wear him out by applying so much pressure he couldn't bring the ball up. Good call by Griff to have Payne bring the ball up while Dame was in the game.

its pitiful. alot of that comes from not being in confident positions with expected outcomes tho. when youre out there horsing around those kind of mishaps are more likely

The problem was Payne was really bad today.

Welp, we just lost a playoff game. No built in excuse of trying things out or coasting, they wanted to win.

Really mind boggling how we can sandwich in a great quarter like the third with crap on the other ends of it.
