If this knee stuff is serious I don't see a way forward for Markelle, as much as it pains me to say. If he loses his ability to change speed on a dime or get out and beat defenders in transition, it takes away a major part of his game.
Next would be JI but I honestly think the FO is moving very slow with him on purpose. With the recent injury not being related to his knee or hamstring, I'm not too concerned.
Talk of getting rid of Wendell is nonsense and Suggs even moreso.

Re: Time to reduce injuries keep 2 move 2: JI, Suggs, WCJ, or Fultz.
Here’s the rub with consolidation trades: what if we turn 2-3 guys into 1 really good guy and the he gets hurt? And it’s tough to guarantee player health in general.
If WeHam can convince Isaac to sign a team friendly deal I think it’s worth continuing to rehab him slowly for another season or two. When he’s healthy and playing he makes such a huge impact that the juice is worth the squeeze.
Suggs should be core, don’t know why his name is even up for consideration.
Fultz is getting organically squeezed out anyway. I wouldn’t want to move him for someone who impedes Black’s development at this point, with the exception of Caruso. I think he’s the perfect fit for this squad.
WCJ is such great value you don’t have to worry about it too much. Low cost and low availability make him a guy we can afford to play when he’s healthy and get by when he’s not as long as we have a quality backup like Goga.

I say keep JI and Suggs
Face it, every team will lowball us with JI's value and WCJ is a pretty high value trade target...

a) At this point, I'd let Fultz walk.
b) Regarding JI, he could be resigned for a small contract, something like 2/20 with team option on second year.
c) I'd keep Suggs and WCJ, but they are not untouchable.

I agree! Jonathan Isaac ability to defend is special but we need to keep in the bench rotation!
Ditto for Suggs, if we could bring him off the bench next season along with Cole Anthony and a healthy Jonathan Isaac! It would be big because I expect to Howard to be in rotation as well along with Mo Wagner who is due for a pay raise!
Our mission this off season is to find a Starting Center and Shooting Guard as well as find a possible JI replacement off the bench by draft or trade!

We have to trade Fultz. I dont see a future for him with the Magic.
Obviously keeping Suggs. He's the 3rd most important asset/player.
Keeping JI, trading WCJ. Wendell has trade value, JI doesn't. We'd be thin at the center position, but i wouldnt mind WCJ+ for a good guard.

We are in a great position to improve our overall availability. I think this should be our first objective as we transition into playoff contention. Just increase the odds that rotation players are available.

I'd keep Suggs & Isaac
Trade Fultz & WCJ
It was a tough choice between Isaac & WCJ. The reason why I'd keep Isaac is partially because of his huge impact, partially because I have no idea what his trade market is, and thus we'd be better off keeping him than WCJ who has great trade value, esp with the contract he has
Fultz is a no brainer, lots of injuries & bad fit.
In reality I would keep WCJ too unless we can package him in a trade for a star

Right now, what happens with Fultz is frustrating. Before the season, I thought Markelle was going to be the player breakout this year, especially with his changed form on shooting 3s.
Objectively speaking, Markelle is very skilled and talented. There is a reason he was the NO.1 pick in his draft class. Dude is so talented offensively that 76ers saw a Star in him.
But Markelle has struggled with injures, whether it is TOS or his knee problem in recent years. I wish he could be back as soon as possible.
But if I have a choice between AB and Markelle, I still go for the conservative choice by picking Markelle. Markelle is just more talented offensively plus Markelle is a good defender.
I won't trade JI, WCJ or Suggs based on this topic. But I would most likely trade Jett and AB.

This never happened. He hit one shot in one game toward the end of the season and had a press conference about being aware that shooting was important to winning games. He's currently 0/3 with a total 0 3pt%
He was traded away from Philly for the exact reasons people accurately criticize him in Orlando. He's perpetually "injured" and is a liability on offense for obvious reasons.
It frankly doesn't matter why he is injured. He is unavailable less than available. This goes for both of Orlando's highest paid players for the last 2 seasons. They just went on a 9 game win streak without him "running the offense". They'll be fine.

Look at Boston they play players injured during the playoffs. Like Thomas and Williams. Both players looked washed now.
a) Agreed that this looks like a marginal playoff team. (6-seed)
b) if the Magic is 100% healthy come playoff time, the Magic might even squeak out of round-1.

For me this question is not held in a void. What assets/players come in return?
And/all f these players can be listed as moveable, for the correct returns.
I like Suggs vs. I like Fultz is far from the point to me.
That said: I see no scenario where Carter is moved.

Us squeaking in as the 6th seed healthy would be a punch in the face for any 3rd seed team. I imagine we could still be swept, but you never know. Paulo this season has shown that he is about to take the "control the game" leap. While upping his defensive effort overall.

Even if they don't trade Fultz and Isaac, both are expiring. JI's contract is fully non-guaranteed next season. The two highest-paid (and lowest availability) players on the team could come off the books, but Weltman has not shown that he's willing or able to sign free agents.
I'm not even sure Fultz wants to play basketball anymore. He doesn't strike me as a "hungry" player. Missing 6 weeks with tendinitis right out of the gate, looking like he's not in the best shape to start the season, still not even practicing. A serious team would not entertain this anymore.

You realize ish like putting “injured” in quotations is why you are known as a hater despite making otherwise good points, right?

I have such a love hate relationship with JI. When he is playing man the guy is a beast defensively. What really annoys me is I open up my IG and he just posted a video promoting his new shoes while hes out with a F*&#$ing ANKLE INJURY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't even notice the quotes that way.
But I also don't care so.
I don't know what else to say. I don't know why he is still out and not having surgery. But if I keep asking questions like that, it's beating a "someone call PETA" moment.

Fultz and Isaac and I think that’s likely gonna happen soon.
Fultz and Isaac were acquired before we blew this team up. Writing is on the wall.
