Week 14: Seahawks @ 49ers
Geno Smith is out, Drew Lock will start. Can't let that lead to taking Seattle lightly. We definitely don't need to see another PJ Walker type situation.
Ray Ray has been placed on IR, so he is obviously out. Going to have to hold our breath with Ronnie Bell on punt return duty for a few more weeks. I'm not 100% sure but since he missed last week, I believe they can retroact his IR placement to last week and only have to miss 2 more games after today, for the mandatory total of 4 games missed. But I could be mistaken on that.
Armstead, Burford, Mitchell, Dwelley, Luter, Beal all inactive for the 49ers. All these guys are hurt, there are no healthy inactives today. Mitchell getting dinged up AGAIN is especially disappointing as he was starting to look good in the limited touches he was getting.
Ty Davis Price was cut earlier this week, but cleared waivers and since signed to the practice squad. However with Mitchell being out today, its quite telling just how lowly regarded Price is considering they elevated Jeremy McNichols over Price. What an absolutely atrocious draft pick that was, worse than the Sermon pick.
Chris Conley being elevated over Danny Gray with McCloud out, also shows how they now see/value Gray. Been some seriously godawful 3rd round picks by this team in recent years.
A win today would clinch a playoff spot and all but lock the division up. Even with a SF win today and LA loss, I believe the Rams would still have an extremely small chance of winning the NFC west. But the 9ers magic number would be down to 1. So another 49ers win or Rams loss would do it.

My guess is that the defense has been prepping all week to defend Geno and not so much focused on Lock. The element of surprise could work in their favor.

Mason vultures CMC's TD, but its all worth 7 points no matter who crosses the goal line.
Hell yes

Re: Week 14: Seahawks @ 49ers
There are only 2 ways to get a better start than that.
1) House the the opening kickoff
2) Get 3 more yards on that 1st play from scrimmage.
Wow, that was awesome

Was hoping CMC could have gotten those 3 extra yards but the defender had a good angle on him.

Ward drops the INT, should of had that one.
But he continues to be massively improved playing the balll the last few weeks

Still awful on 3rd down.
Right after they just showed a graphic showing Seattle is 26th in the NFL in 3rd down conversion rate

Re: Week 14: Seahawks @ 49ers
Well what a gut punch that drive was. Completely deflates all the excitement of the offense's start
