What's your thought process here?

I have long been a THT admirer, but he can't shoot. Bobby to Olynyk is lateral at best.

THT is a better defensive fit for this team. I’m just not worrying about offense because we two of the best on the floor already.

Kelly isn’t as good of a scorer as Bobby, but he’d be easier to keep on the floor as a role guy.

Kelly is also a better shooter and passer but he is also older and on an expiring contract.

There is hope Griffin is fired after all.

If everyone points out the issues & he's not changing them, you'd think management is taking note.

Have to think he'd also continue to lose the players.

If we’re looking for defensive ability that’s switchable, and liked what we had from the PJ archetype, I’d suggest jae’sean Tate or Kenrich Williams.

They’re both tough as hell dudes, who can actually guard bigs pretty well as well as wings. They both rebound well, too. Neither are shooters, but we likely can’t get everything with the assets we have.

I’d welcome either.

Not the same holes; different holes.

When you swap Jrue for Dame you plug some holes and open new ones.

When you replace Grayson Allen with Malik Beasley and still have Brook Lopez and Bobby Portis as your bigs you're still letting in water from the same spots, exacerbated by the previous mentioned swap.

That's me watching this pathetic team try to play defense.

Why would those be the numbers we'd need to replace? Bobby hasn't averaged single digit ppg since he was 21. He doesn't have a 53TS%, and his TS% in his 3 full seasons as a Buck were 60, 57, and 58. The Bucks have been better with him on than off this year, despite him being routinely tasked with carrying the 2nd unit offense.

Why the Bobby slander? Who would replace him? Is one of Bobby's Team USA teammates toiling in the G League?
Who is this mystery player?

Please don't tell me Robin Lopez going to step in as not only the backup center but also the backup to Giannis, while working as the go to scorer for the 2nd unit.

So finding guys that can produce big in the playoffs is easier?

Personally I think Bobby can help get us a player that fills a more valuable role than he provides. Think hopefully we'll have Crowder dipping into Bobby's minutes in the playoffs too. Probably not filling every hole with just one move, and any move creates new holes, but I think moving Bobby solves more than it creates.

I’ve come around on Beasley but having a defense-free starting backcourt alongside old man Middleton on the perimeter seems crazy.

Gotta find someone good enough to warrant setting Malik up as a microwave scorer off the bench.

I was hoping MarJon could seize the spot and he still has time but if it’s not happening we need another plan.

This. Have to get either Beasley or Middleton out of the starting lineup. Not sure you could sell Middleton on the Ginobili role, but a defensive minded 3-D in the starting lineup (Pat, but eventually AJJ) would do us plug one hole.

If you’re worried about Midds D with Dame, moving midds to the bench as some token 6th man doesn’t really do anything for us come the post season - he’d still be getting over 30 minutes per game, and he’d overlap plenty with Dame.

The defense has been really good with Dame and Middleton on the floor together so far. Idk if that would hold up over 4 series but I don’t think bringing Khris off the bench would solve any of our problems, now or later.

I still think Delon Wright should be someone the Bucks should look at as a cheaper alternative to Caruso. If he comes back from his injury playing great he could be an easy get. Also, he has way better offensive numbers than Caruso has in the playoffs over the years.

A healthy Delon would be a great fit, no question. Need Pat to match. Hard to justify the move while we have chucklef*ck as our coach.

What do you guys think about Patrick williams?

He’s still only 22, but he’s in year 4 and his numbers are still right around the same they’ve been.

He’ll be an RFA, and he’s young enough that they’ll probably want to keep him with their rebuild, but maybe they just don’t believe in him anymore.
