I don't watch Magic play, but I remember a game against Magic (some time ago) and I was impressed by his defense against Luka... I don't know if it was just that day, but he looked like an excellent defender

Yep, he played Luka well and frustrated him, he is a bad 3pt shooter, but the shot quality can raise players shooting % on the Mavs, we saw it with Bullock and DJJ.
Defense wins draft lotteries!
Fortune favours the bold, so it ducked Nico Harrison.

Buy low candidate who could fill some holes we really need to patch up. I'd do it depending on the price.

Does it fit in our TPE? I think giving them our TPE +SRP should be enough or close to it...although I have read that Nuggets/Bucks/Suns and Cavs would be interested

I know he's washed, but Holmes for PJ Tucker?

Tucker can at the very least maybe teach guys like Hardy some defense and add a nice vet presence along with Grant & Powell. He may still have a little left in the tank.

This of course only if we're able to turn someone like Green into a backup 5.

PJ is a good presence on the locker room, maybe he has 5/10 good minutes in the tank.
Probably Clips will cut him after his statements.

I still hope Holmes can play at least 15 quality minutes per game... I will trade a no basketball player like Powell for example.

we need young bigs ,not young guards ......... some trades using Jaden Hardy as the trade bait .

Jaden Hardy for Bol Bol 7'2"
Hardy for Alexsej Pokusevski 7'

Both these guys would probably thrive with Luka and because they can handle the ball would be playing the perimeter, not getting in Livelys way.

Poke maybe, though he's so skinny I don't see him addressing our big needs. Bol bol doesn't belong in the league imo

It shouldn't be, Kidd needs to stop.being cute and play Holmes, he can't shoot, but has shown to be OK rebounder, great screener and high energy playet.

That would be great, any idea who fits the bill? I don't think Green can return a high level player, but getting out from the terrible extension now would be a win.

I like Nance if a 3rd team takes Green and sends the Pels something they'd like.

Precious Achiewa isn't all that good, but fits the bill. I think we have to sell low before there are no takers

I'm not so pessimistic on Green value, i think he has suitors and we can trade him well.

Toronto is ready to clean the sheet, they are our target.

We don't need other garbage time players... Powell is enough.

how ignorant and lacking basketball knowledge , calling young basketball players garbage time players .Like alot of players being in the right situation is all they need . You trashed on Exum too when Dallas got him ...hows that turning out for your basketball wizdom

Poku is still way too skinny and can't shoot to save his own life, Bol Bol for some reason just doesn't seem to be able to use his skills in the NBA at all.
Hardy has good trade value and you're suggesting trading him for some halfway out of the league players? Why?

I like both Nance and Precious too. Both are very switchable and can semi-stretch the floor.

Bol Bol changed 3 teams in 5years and he never made an impact.
Poku is a mistery box.

If those are the trade options i'm ok with Green all day

And again, i never trashed Exum.
If he makes shoots and stays healthy then he can play a big role here in the PO otherwise he is still a 10/15 minutes player.

Agree.

Those must be our low cost guys that can help in PO... Boucher too.

If we want to add FRPs to a Green/Hardy package then we can target better players for sure.

I like Achiwua, worth a gamble, brings something different, could be DJJ like success story.

This year we have 2 superstars, finally a C with upside and a lot of good role players... If some disgrunting player want to win we are a good place.

Return to Dallas Mavericks
