I wonder if Thibs ever thinks about poaching some things from Minnesota's schemes. Defensively as well.

The thing we can't replicate from them is that Mike Conley is their ultimate connector guy. Just a true PG.

Minni is who we think we are when we look in the mirror.

That mirror must add an extra four inches to our average team height.

What about Rui? He seems a little out of place on that Lakers roster and could fill in backup 3/4 for us.

Shams report out today….

As one high-ranking team official put it last week, “It’s a gradually developing trade market this year.”

Soon, we will be off to the races.

Siakam, OG, Derozan, Lavine are the big names on the block. PJ Tucker is unhappy. Knicks and Heat are Derozan preferred destinations. He still doesn’t really make sense for us imo.

Read on Twitter
?s=61&t=oWAQ5JzX5AK-44v89eypvw

Spoiler:
Teams such as the Atlanta Hawks, Sacramento Kings and Indiana Pacers are expected suitors for Siakam or Anunoby but believe Siakam appears to be the likelier player to be dealt, league sources tell The Athletic. Siakam, 29, is earning $37.9 million in the last year of his Raptors contract this season while Anunoby, 26, has a $19.9 million player option for next season that he will almost assuredly decline to enter free agency.

The Hawks held intense conversations with the Raptors surrounding a Siakam deal over the offseason, as The Athletic reported, and the Pacers and Kings have both checked in and engaged at different points with Toronto over the last year. For the Kings, a better start to this season than a year ago (12-8 this season compared to 11-9 last season en route to a 48-win campaign) provides confidence that they can grow internally rather than compete for the expected cost of talents such as Siakam and Anunoby.

Elsewhere in Chicago, as The Athletic reported in mid-November, the Bulls are expected to continue probing interested teams on a Zach LaVine trade. The Bulls have won four games in a row for the first time since February 2022 and are now 9-14 and in the midst of the postseason race. All of the wins have come without LaVine, who will miss three to four more weeks to treat right foot inflammation, and interested teams are keeping an eye on LaVine’s health situation and his return to play.

The Los Angeles Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers are expected suitors for LaVine, but both are operating from positions of patience and due diligence. And now, as the Bulls have found their stride over the past week and are just one game out of a Play-In Tournament spot, teams will continue to monitor their approach with LaVine and DeMar DeRozan, who will be an unrestricted free agent in the offseason. The Athletic’s Sam Amick recently reported that DeRozan’s preferred trade destinations are the New York Knicks and Miami Heat if he does end up being dealt.

BAF is the training ground for the next great NBA GM.

Per RealGM the Grizz want to do a 3-2 or 2-1 trade to open a spot for Bismark B.

Is there anything in their bench that would be useful for the Knicks?

He's a good choice to solidify our mid stability...

Are there any wing D players of note available?

Maybe guys like Okoro who came out of college with their main rep on D? I haven't followed him - is he playing really good D in the league or is he just mid on D now?

And there have to be some others. 6'7" and up Guys not so good on O but maybe can smother a rival wing for 10 min a game? In our ISO triumvirate they don't have to score (and probably wouldn't get shots) anyway.

Y'all should just quit on making trade ideas with Toronto. I don't see in any way they will want to deal with us in the near future or ever again.

None of those transactions will concern the Knicks.

It does when other teams in the Eastern Conference climbs the ladder while we stay where we are. See Cavs when they traded for Donovon Mitchell.

I am not saying that any of those players will help but if we're going to sit here and wait for Embiid or Giannis or SGA then what are we really trying to do with this core? Y'all are fickle with who you want... we haven't won anything since the 70s.

I actually don't mind getting DeRozan in a 3 way trade so we can see how far we can go with 4 guys that can go 20+ any night. He will be a rental for 1 year and y'all don't need to stomach a Lavine's contract for multiple years.

How about Bojan from Detroit?!

Bojan from Detroit is cool. I think we could make a smaller deal using Fournier and a FRP. I don't see DeRozan even though I like him too. He's a little up there in age.

Are you ready to trade RJ?
