That's me watching this pathetic team try to play defense.

He was annoying at first but, man, what a great Grief rage watch.

It's the Stephen A approach: Scream loud and fast enough, and you'll probably get a few things right. His 20/20 hindsight analysis is usually independent of defensive scheme. EVERY scheme gives up a weakness in one aspect to be strong in another. Sometimes the offense just executes the right play despite the defense playing the scheme well. This clown never acknowledges that. There's always something different the defense could have done, which, of course, means the offense would have also adjusted...

The brilliance here is there always a percentage of every fan base wanting their coach fired, and this guy serves up the red meat.

He’s still only 22, but he’s in year 4 and his numbers are still right around the same they’ve been.

He’ll be an RFA, and he’s young enough that they’ll probably want to keep him with their rebuild, but maybe they just don’t believe in him anymore.

Good shooter. Some parallels to the start of Bobby's career. For whatever reason, has plateaued. Change of scenery would be good. Similar tweener defense issues as Bobby also.

Griff's putrid defensive scheme shouldn't prevent us from trades that would balance the roster regardless of who's coaching.

MIL Out: Bobby, Marjon, Livingston, 2024 POR 2nd
MIL In: Dorian Finney-Smith, Chris Duarte

BKN Out: DFS
BKN In: Marjon, Davion Mitchell, Portland 2nd

SAC Out: Davion Mitchell, Chris Duarte
SAC In: Bobby, Livingston

As much as I feel like I need a shower after this one, never underestimate a man out for revenge.

Khris Middleton
Marjon Beauchamp ->

Marcus Smart
Brandon Clarke

Lillard/Payne
Smart/Jackson Jr/Green
Crowder/Connaughton/Livingston
Antetokounmpo/Clarke/Antetokounmpo
Lopez/Portis/Lopez

Playoff rotation

Lillard/Smart/Payne
Smart/Connaughton
Crowder/Connaughton
Giannis/Clarke
Lopez/Portis/Clarke

It's fortunate for Griff that the ways we'd likely improve our roster would probably also make it fit better with what he wants to do. Even if maybe we should go all in on offense and hire D'Antoni.

I don't see PJ going anywhere with that player option hanging over his head. Pretty sure he'd rather rot on the Clippers bench while collecting $11.5M next season than playing anywhere else for a vet min.

It's a sunk cost for the Clippers. It's up to them to determine if he's bringing positive or negative value with that roster spot. I'd expect they try to find a trade before they do anything else. They've got a couple 2nds in the draft they could attach to try to bring back something they can use, or find a bigger trade he could be filler in.

No no no PJ. He's not good anymore. I certainly wouldn't give up anything for him and be on the hook for next year's money. He's done.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

The only question for the Clippers is whether they're gonna throw that 2030 1st round pick into trade proposals knowing that this is probably it for this group (Harden, George, Kawhi are all free agents). Powell's back in their rotation so PJ's really the only easily expendable salary they have left. Wouldn't shock me if they'd value Bobby for that price, but then the question becomes what you can flip Pat and that pick for.

I highly doubt PJ gets bought out but if he does I'd be interested. I'm not interested in giving up anything of value for him though

PJ’s done as a player but as a player-coach who can bully griffin defensively much like he bullied Bud in the ‘21 playoffs, I’m intrigued. Definitely only on a buyout after cutting RoLo though.

I think there's also a lot of utility there when it comes to AJJ's development.

i want nothing to do with adding another vet who is going to yell at the coach and not back it up on the court. when PJ did that to Bud, it was needed. he was the only one who would do it. it's not needed right now. even Bobby, who has not played to his potential, is doing that. if anything, we need stabilizing forces, not more chaos.

i would rather we just focus on the x's and o's and find guys who can help on defense. we need a better starting/closing 2 so that Beas can come off the bench as a microwave scorer. that just absolutely has to happen.

Yeah if Clippers aren’t ready to blow it up they very well might add value to PJ’s salary slot for an upgrade.

Even if Tucker only can get up for the playoffs ancient Robert Horry style that’d be something.

Either way Bucks spending Haslem’s money to improve the talent base is cool by me.

I think there's definitely a non zero chance PJ gets bought out this season, whether by LA or other. Love to have him back. Sorry Rolo.

tucker and a first for portis and marjon might interest me. tuckers deal next year is moveable with lopez and wed have that much more ammo with the pick

as it relates to this year i find it difficult to believe that a pampered regular season tucker wouldnt help more than portis in the playoffs for what this team needs from that position. tag teaming jae and tucker against the celtics at least on theory could be a thing. marjon and portis are useless against them
