Typical Pacers and Pistons first half 66-61 all offense and very little defense. Mathurin feeling it tonight with 16 points. Buddy with an easy 11 points. Brown 6 rebounds, 2 steals, and defense. Everyone else average and only Toppin and Nesmith(banged up) are struggling.

Huge game for Bennedict Mathurin. Good team effort to hand the Pistons loss #20 in a row. Pacers looked tired at times. Don’t blame them.

Yeah, what I loved about Mathurin in this game wasn’t just that he was scoring. He was soooooo energetic. He was fighting for loose balls and rebounds. He made up for any mistakes we made. He was accountable to his teammates, it seemed. He was making solid passes. It was just a really great all around game for him.

Seemed like in this game,.. he wasn't playing with the team, but was playing as part of the team and providing that lift. Just feels like a little thing, that is huge in terms of its potential impact. If he continues to play with this level of integration with the rest of the team, he could actually be a key piece to this teams potential. I did not expect him to play like this, in this game. Very happily surprised.

and that pass to iJax was left handed and CC had written that he didn't make a single left handed pass last season.

Yup,.. 8 Assists,.. I thought it was a typo & they actually meant rebounds,. until I saw the box score. It also didn't seem forced? It actually seemed (yeah, I could be wrong) that he was playing more freely, and it just clicked? If anything, it does prove that he can play like that! =]
