RS 23/24 - Mavs vs Lakers (Tonight., 730PMEST)

Post#1 » by Dirk » Tue Dec 12, 2023 3:16 pm

Such silly scheduling. What is the logic of a team travelling for a road game and then back to a home game against a rested team?

Kyrie Irving is listed as questionable due to a right heel contusion while Grant Williams is healthy and expected to play.

The King won the tournament! And his defense minister commanded a great battle! I say they deserve extra day of rest, play them only on the 2nd night of their B2B.

Luka also said his knees were swollen along with his back injury. I still can't understand in what way Kidd thought playing him 44 mins was a good idea even when Mavs were comfortably leading.

Tough stretch of games coming up starting with the LAL and feels like half of the roster is injured already.

I think it's clear now, they decided to sit Luka at hlaf time yesterday, it's Exum, Hardy, Seth PG rotation....
If LBJ, AD, Luka and Kyrie sit on TNT game, heads are gonna roll...

Cant imagine LAL sit either of AD or Bron after having 2 nights off.

This is a game we could REALLY use Kyrie though, even if Luka is playing.

THJ and Grant are playing so I would start Luka/Exum/THJ/Grant/Lively. I like the defensive versatility of inserting Omax instead of THJ but Luka can't be playing with a bunch of guys that are either scared to shoot or have slow triggers. THJ and Luka can hide on D against Reddish and Prince.

I havent seen Tim Hardaway jr listed OUT for this game ..... Luka ,Dante , Hardaway,Wms ,Lively as the ideal starters. Hardaway is going to get 30 minutes anyways so just start him and Curry ,Hardy,OMax off the bench in limited minutes.

Yes, it's probably better if THJ is fine.

It's Curry, I like THJ in single ball handler lineups, he's the perfect bail out option.

Props to THJ for taking that charge (hopefully challenge succeeds) after just coming back from an injury. Hopefully he's okay.

Good challenge, THJ can take time to recover from Reddish running him over
