You’re right. It seemed sketchy that the NBA discarded the six divisions it always has, and specifically created new ones. Then, the Western Conference has four bad teams, and three of those four were placed in the Lakers bracket, and they played the 12-10 Suns before they got their stars back.

Yes, it could be all coincidental, but the NBA really wanted good ratings and excitement to dispel questions about the inaugural Play In Tournament. I don’t dismiss the possibility that Silver would intentionally give the Lakers an unfair leg up to try to cash in on their large fanbase.

Then the Suns game ends in controversy. Controversy favoring the Lakers.

Considering the play in tournament was essentially an orchestrated conspiracy?? Are you thinking the refs were in on it as well?? Ok, if anyone honestly believes that, then find another hobby than following the nba.

There are high level executives in the league that either incentivize or threaten the refs somehow and it's a secret that will never be exposed. Not buying it.

Speaking of Villanueva guys, I really like Collin Gillespie who played today against Iowa in gleague. He shot abysmal 1-8 from 3pt, but he had 11 rebs, 17ast. In two gleague games he averages 16ppg, 9.5rpg (!!!), 15 apg. He is on two-way contract with DEN

MIN are in top-6 team by unique lineups have used so far in the season

# Club Lineups
1 San Antonio Spurs 751
2 Milwaukee Bucks 609
3 Golden State Warriors 606
4 Utah Jazz 542
5 Detroit Pistons 526
6 Minnesota Timberwolves 517

Hopefully we can have some consistency moving forward. I assume that for structure based team such as MIN it might be beneficial.

I don't think anyone expected Grizzlies to be bad (even without Ja) before start of season. It's mostly coincidental.

It’s not just Ja. They are missing Smart, Adams, Kennard, Clarke, and other guys throughout.

Just glad Twolves is not part of that conversation. They are all geared up to draft Bronny James.

Last season, MIN would never have let this happen.

Late in the 3rd quarter the Clippers were beating the fully healthy kings by 89-58. The Kings have come back to 64-89 though in the last couple minutes. I think the Clippers are going to be DANGEROUS come playoff time. I see them as legit contenders. It was so popular and cool to hate on James Harden that people were making ridiculous statements about him being washed up and how he would be detrimental to the Kings, but I saw him as a perfect fit. Ever since they benched Westbrook the Clippers have been very good.

I didn’t watch this game so I am speculating, but isn’t 58 points late in the 3rd more a power outage for the King’s then a masterclass in defense by the Clippers? 89 is nice, but when your offense is as cooked as their’s must have been, I can see guys quitting on defense. Just a thought.

Two major ejections tonight. Jokic thrown out for calling a ref a derogatory name. Green got ejected for throwing something between a slap and a punch to the face of Nurkic. See video. I would suspend him at least 25 games for repeated violence on the court.

That is the second WWE move this season. This spin chop is worse than the Gobert choke hold. He should be suspended for 40 games.

At least and have to do anger management.

Two semi funny things related to this. First Nurkic said “I am just glad he didn’t choke me.” Second Draymond said “I didn’t mean to connect with him, he was pulling my hip and I was just trying to sell the foul by waiving my arms.” He was asked if he was sorry, to paraphrase he said I am sorry for the contact to Nurkic (he apologized a few times to him in the press conference,) but he was not sorry about being absent for his team as he felt his actions were unintentional therefore not warranting an apology. Also worth noting that GSW lost by 3 and a ff2 is two shots and the ball for the suns. That may well have been the difference in the game.

I can’t see Green getting 40 games cause Silver doesn’t rule with an iron fist. However, I firmly believe he shouldn’t get anything less than 20 and that’s prob being generous.

There’s no room in the game for this nonsense.
