aj griffin is another wing i think we can get for cheap. he had a good rookie year but is behind in the depth chart on a stacked hawks team. he also has caa ties so who knows maybe they do it.

None of those transactions will concern the Knicks.

It does when other teams in the Eastern Conference climbs the ladder while we stay where we are. See Cavs when they traded for Donovon Mitchell.

I am not saying that any of those players will help but if we're going to sit here and wait for Embiid or Giannis or SGA then what are we really trying to do with this core? Y'all are fickle with who you want... we haven't won anything since the 70s.

I actually don't mind getting DeRozan in a 3 way trade so we can see how far we can go with 4 guys that can go 20+ any night. He will be a rental for 1 year and y'all don't need to stomach a Lavine's contract for multiple years.

How about Bojan from Detroit?!

The same Cavs who lost in round 1 to a mid team?

Draymond & Klay might actually become available if things don't turn around soon in GSW.

We do need a backup PF. We know he can play C. We have the salary match. We know we need more defenders for big wings. We do need more ball movement. We don't care if a player is hated everywhere else as long as we get Ws.

I loathe his antics but I'm talking myself into this

I considered Draymond as well. The problem is he won’t stay on the floor. If he could, I would love to swap him with Randle

I didn't mean for Randle I meant with Randle. Would be a PHENOMENAL pairinig skills wise. But after seeing his greatest hits (pun not intended) it reminded me this clown will probably bring out the worst in Julius attitude wise or end up fighting Julius himself

I think he should get kicked out the league. What's it going to take? Putting someone in the hospital? Long term injury? But if they're going to let him play, it's hard to imagine it would be a bad fit here basketball wise

4 years of Dray at like 25m a year for a backup C/PF? I'd understand if it was 1-2 years but 4 is too long

Do you mean NBA Champion POS Draymond?

Maybe

It’s not like he beat his wife, pointed guns at innocent people, or been accused of statutory rape. :dontknow:

And honestly he was ahead of the curve with hating Jordan Poole…..

I'm starting to think there's a slight chance Steph could be on the move.

Obviously they'd never WANT to move him, but the team around him has suddenly aged at warp speed, and their attempt at youth infusion had not yielded anything. So they're several pieces away from even being in the conversation, and their only viable move could be rebuild.

If that's the case, I don't see how either side believes it's a great plan for the twilight, but still productive, years of an all time legend's career.

BTW...does anyone know why we let go of Bobby Portis?

IMO he is an ideal backup for the PF/C position.....he played a solid season here and went on to average 14/10 in Milwaukee....shooting close to 40% from 3. Having him and Randle next to each other would have been interesting on offense...would have provided a different look for defense and we stretch the entire floor.....his contract also seems good.

Let me correct that: at 11mill. his contract looks like a bargain for what he brings...

Call me a sucker for hype. But I think we should take a chance on James Wiseman. Looking like he won't live up tot he potential but maybe can get him to a place where he is a great backup center.
