Roster changes are definitely coming.

On my list is defensive 2/3 and 4/5

This will allow much more versatility with point of attack D and benching Brook when required.

Been peddling Khris and Marjon for Smart and Clarke to surprisingly mostly positive feedback.

Right now I would say Bucks or Celtics winning the east is a toss up. But if one of those 2 teams acquired PJ Tucker, it would be one of those moves on the margins that would give the team who acquired PJ a significant advantage over the other.

PJ Tucker would be sufficiently hard-nosed with everyone else on the roster in terms of getting their collective sh|t together totally agree the priceless thing is the thing that matters here.

Clarke blew out his Achilles and is probably gonna miss the season, and Smart has also been hurt and was pretty bad when he did play for Memphis. Even a slower version of Khris has us killing teams when he’s on court, particularly with the other top guys. That’d be an awful trade for us imo.

PJ is washed and can't play anymore. How is he more qualified than any other former "tough" player that could be brought on as an assistant?

Players in the NBA that are averaging at least 20 pts, 7 reb, 6 ast, on at least 35% 3pt per 36:

Luka
Lebron
Scottie Barnes
Khris.

That's the list.

Is Talen Horton-Tucker any good, or a potential reclamation project, or stay away?

Surprised he’s only 23.

He's not playing that badly though? Is he better than Beasley? Doesn't look like he's ever been good enough from three for an SG.

So he'd fit right in!

That said, Cronus floating a Memphis trade with Khris/Marjon/2nd for Smart/Clarke. I’d do that one fast. Don’t think Memphis does it.

Really? I think Memphis takes that and run. Smart has only played 11 games and has been bad. and Clarke probably isn’t going to play this year after tearing his Achilles in march.

That trade is horrific for the Bucks.

Can't do per 36 stats for Midds when that takes him two games to play

I feel like griff being a first time head coach is an important factor here

Is it really though? This isn’t the Pistons, this is a championship roster chock full of veterans.

Yes. Things take time. I never liked the hire but i understand it if they thought it would help them keep Giannis. Once you make the decision to hire a first time head coach, if you do not expect growing pains, you're fooling yourself. No amount of expectation changes the rate at which a human can learn a complex set of skills. It might even make it harder and therefore slower.

We are just past the 1st quarter of the season, a game out of first, and a 57 win pace (easily over our vegas projection of 54). Could we be a better team? Definitely. Do we have some really bad warts? Definitely. But if the alternative to letting Griff continue to find his way is another round of Joe Prunty leading us into the playoffs, im crossing my fingers w Griff every time.

Exactly. Syncing up vets new to the system and youngsters during a new install will generate tons of growing pains-- Seasoning what's basically an entirely different roster takes a whole season. Watching them put it all together is the fun part, I still don't know what everybody's complaining about.

I really like Khris's passing and iso scoring. I don't blame anybody for questioning his injuries and on ball defense but you gotta replace what he's good at or this thing falls apart. Replacing him with a better contract or a low usage 3&D does nothing for this team.

Midds last three games minutes played:
29 (would have been 30 if they hadn’t been pulled for that minute when it was temporarily a blow out)
33
30

Posted this in the Bulls thread but the Bucks most played lineups are pasting opponents, just like they have the last how many years.

No need to dick around with the top five. Since an athletic proven defender who can shoot isn't realistic given the Bucks lack of trade assets and CBA restrictions, their hope has to be internal. Play the youngest guys.

Nobody's saying he's Luka, but Khris is giving you like, 40-50% of Luka's or Lebron's offensive output every game. All without the heliocentric ball dominance.

Ever since the first 4 games, after they started doing slightly less idiotic stuff with Brook defensively, Giannis/Dame/Khris/Brook is approaching a +20 net rating in over 200 minutes. Trading Khris for the sake of trading Khris would be idiotic. What we need is tweaks to the defense from the coaching staff and bench upgrades. And if we're getting greedy, someone who can credibly start & defend well at the 2 so Beasley can transition to a bench gunner role. Someone like '19-20 Wes would be amazing right about now.
