Everyone has to tip toe around Embiid’s feelings otherwise he sends his henchmen Perk to claim racism.

will be intresting to see who will be the media scapegoat if the sixers fail to go past the 2nd round again this year. To me thats the real reason the media wanted james harden to stay, to keep around as insurance as an easy scapegoat in case embiid starts fatiguing in the playoffs again. Maxey is signed to klutch sports so you know he will be protected, im intrested in seeing who gets blame. My money is gonna be on tobias harris simply because of the amount of money he is making

Not sure I’ve ever seen more excuses tossed out for a “superstar”. You could give him LeBron and he’d find a way to lose to the Trae Young’s of the world and Philly fans would throw LeBron under the boss to protect Biid.

As I like to say: Death, Taxes and Biid crapping the bed in the playoffs.

It works both ways. The same people and-1ing your post are probably the same people who said it does matter this year but not last year. Funny that.

I personally had no issue with him winning two in a row, but you can also understand why some were hesitant to award him a third after being bounced in the first and second rounds in the previous two years. Winning three in a row (Larry Bird was the last to do it) and not even getting past the second round would have played on some voters’ minds I guess. Embiid is in the same situation. A loss in either the first or second round this year would turn voters right off in giving in him a third MVP. No matter what his stats are next year, there would be no way he would get it. It is a regular season award to a certain degree.

Bird would have won 4 rings with that team, in this weak ass era of basketball.

This is a fact. We’re literally the only team that somehow stops him. Dude just went 18/26 for nearly 60. Insanity

Beating down Pistons with 41 pts are far less impressive than Giannis beating down vice champion scoring 64 points

Giannis with the best game of the night and of the year so far.

Sixers got a hell of a deal with the schedule makers going on?!

Wizards
Hawks
Wizards
Pistons
Pistons
Hornets
Bulls

Bottom 5 teams in the conference, and the two worst teams in the league faced in 4 of 5 games

It evens out in the end :D

I didn’t watch the game and I can’t comment on the validity of all those free throws but damn…32. Sure they were earned but still a crazy number.

In 6 games in December Jokic has 34 FTA total.

Who cares what Jokic’s FTAs are? We’re talking about Giannis. Watch the game if you’re so upset. Giannis gets fouled constantly

Giannis is definitely on one lately. I think he has to burst into the top 5 with tonight’s performance. I’d go:

1. Jokic
2. SGA
3. Embiid
4. Hali
5. Giannis

Yeah kinda obvious top 4 -

I don’t like it but Embiid still 1 in the hearts of the voters- jokic still the best on earth

Giannis still the second best

And SGA is the current best of the next 4-10 that includes Booker, Luka, Tatum, Hali, KD, Fox and LEBRON - Right in front of the Antman and Skinny Zion

Giannis has never played like he is right now his free throw shooting looks so smooth the Celtics only hope is he goes back to shooting 50% from the line

His free throws close to career lows. Think the bigger factor is his finishing being back to normal and no more knee issues. Last year, he wasn’t the same finisher at all. Dude is literally unstoppable near the rim. If he stopped shooting threes, he’d be even more
