I disagree, we have plenty of guys in that Bruce Brown archetype, on paper we made some damn solod moves to fill out the roster around the big 3 to do the dirty work.
So far they haven't performed like Bruce Brown, but the stars have been in and out of the lineup all season. None of the role players has really had a consistent role or minutes profile outside of Nurk, think we gotta give it time before we can definitively judge.
No , you don’t, Bruce Brown was the best Net in that infamous Boston sweep both defensively and offensively
Then he went for cheap to the Nuggets and helped them won a ring , we can’t deny he was a big part of that championship
I don’t watch Suns a lot , I’ll admit but who you got on BB level ?
I’m not comparing him to Booker or KD but the guy for dirty work , deflections ,hustle , running after loose balls , defense , not limited on offense WHO ?
I suppose many Suns fans would choose Josh Okogie as our glue guy that does all the little things on defense he definitely passes the eye test in that area. But offensively, he’s very limited especially when his three point shot isn’t falling. I assumed he’d be a perfect starter last season before the postseason, Monty even had him start dozens of games and he was a dog on defense who can nail threes. But once playoffs rolled around the nerves set in and Josh couldn’t nail a shot. His minutes dropped heavily and he hasn’t been a good or at least a decent shooter ever since.
Maybe you have those guys , like you said Okogie or Little , somebody else mentioned Grayson Allen , no he’s not THAT guy in my opinion
But my question is if you have those guys why they don’t perform every game ? I watched every Nets game and Brown was most steady guy while he was in Brooklyn, you just knew what you got from him every single night , the same is with DFS , always gives his 110%
Yuta , honestly I’m surprised by his performance on the Suns , on the Nets he was 50% of Browns offense so not bad , shooting three’s occasionally driving , not a bad passer and on a good nights he was 70% of Browns defense , hustling like crazy , deflecting the ball grabbing loose balls , he wasn’t Brown but he was solid
His problem was consistency, you knew what you were getting from Brown , Yuta was hit or miss night
