I think the guy holding Giannis back in this video is the Bucks staffer who grabbed the ball right after the buzzer…but he no longer has the ball here. Combine that with the Pacers players clearly taunting Giannis and telling them to not give the ball to him, I’ve seen enough.

Coach is a total Weinar

It's childish on all sides. No team/player with any pride wants a record broken on them, especially when that's the sole focus of the other team. Because the Bucks bench is hot garbage, it happened to the Pacers twice in one game. Not surprised they were salty from a game that was already heated. I'm 100% sure someone from the Bucks staff could get the game ball for him. They baited Giannis and he fell for it.

I truly hope Giannis makes a point to brutalize the paint every single game moving forward against IND. 50pts a game really isn't a reach given what IND offers in terms of interior defense, however, can assure you next game they're going to try and beat him up a bit more around the rim to make sure he doesn't. Fascinating storyline for rest of season and next few years.

Pretty sure Giannis doesn't go chasing after them if they weren't richards about it to his face. Take your L and go home.

They can keep the ball, but we get Carlisle.

I don't think Giannis improves on this record again

The Pacers literally acted like children: Crying and taking their ball home.

Clearly the Pacers aren't used to winning and they don't know how to handle it. If you're going to be a good team, you need to know you're going to have a target on your back. They are a not-yet-ready-for-prime-time team.

Frenetic on the defensive end, but their greatest ability is processing speed and blowing things up off-ball by just reading the play.

That play where he stripped Turner comes to mind. That wasn’t his assignment, he just ripped the ball away as he was gliding around the screen.

Lucky for us, that off-ball defense has always been more valuable than on-ball. Dre also has quite a bit of potential on-ball, but I think it’s a bit behind the other stuff defensively. His impact was undeniable this game.

Spot on. Another reason I want to see a whole lot more of him is so I understand his capabilities of an on-ball defender. Throwing him out there for meaningful minutes every fifth game and telling him to go check the occasional MVP candidate won't give us the information we need. Don't get me wrong, I loved seeing him on his own, in space, against Hali, but we didnt learn a whole heck of a lot from those minutes. Hali did to AJJ like he'd do to 95% of the league. Just give him 15-20 minutes per, let him guard role players and stars alike, and see if he might warrant a spot in the rotation come playoff time.

Not at all disappointed in Giannis' reaction to a young, cocky team who's greatest achievement since the Jordan era is making the debut In-Season tournament Finals.

Whoever said we would lose to Indiana in a 7 game series is out of their mind. Honestly think this is the turning point of both organizations this year.

I thought Dre’s lateral quickness was impressive. He bites too much at misdirection right now that experienced elite defenders don’t do, but that should improve with time and study.

I also want him to keep improving taking things through the chest. Jrue was the best in the league at it - to the point where he wouldn’t have to reach for steals, the offensive player would just cough it up. Encouraging thing is Dre clearly wants to defend that way - he had one possession where he beat his defender to the spot, took it through the chest, and the ball got dislodged. I can’t remember if it lead to a steal, but it was a great sequence.

I don't care how Giannis reacted, its the same **** as Philly ladder incident but even worse this was actually at home where it should never happened. I want Giannis to be a psycho for being disrespected which this clearly is, he hasn't crossed any lines or been out of control IMO.

Constantly disrespected. No way in hell Indiana does that if LeBron puts up the exact same game.

I'm sure Giannis regrets overreacting. But it seems like the hard foul he took that caused the mid game melee might have played into it. Guessing there is more than just the ball thing going on.

Carlisle wouldn't dare in that scenario, he wants to keep working in Lebron's league going forward

Not every guard plays Hali as badly as AJJ did last night. He let him get by so easily (and Hali isn't super quick), because he thought he could block him from behind as he did in college. It's a flaw in AJJ's defense. He needs to square up and not allow his guy past him thinking he can recover because of his athleticism.

Nah man, lame take. Giannis cares because he’s dedicated his life to this game and it’s an accomplishment that means a lot to him. The reason you have lifelong memories and were able to experience a championship is because Giannis cares so much about basketball and being the best he can be.

That ball from that game is a reflection of all his hard work. I don’t understand how people can’t understand that.
