Re: Bucks News, Transactions, Trade Ideas
Also, I looked at Wiggins' statline. Yikes. I thought he was kinda treading water around where he was last year, but he's really really bad this season.
My bad on that thought.

No need to dick around with the top five. Since an athletic proven defender who can shoot isn't realistic given the Bucks lack of trade assets and CBA restrictions, their hope has to be internal. Play the youngest guys.
Agree. The fact the AJJ isn't playing more is coaching malpractice (add it to the ever-growing list).
He is exactly what they need and he's just sitting there.
I loved the pick when they made it, and loved it even more after the Dame trade.
Griff singled out Dre as "an important player for us moving forward", when he first started giving him some burn.
Since then he's barely played. Although he did have back issues.
Hopefully he meant what he said & realizes the need to continually work him into the rotation more.

I've always been "open" to trading Khris. Not now.RiotPunch wrote:Can't get behind the Khris trade stuff. Coming from a pretty frequent Khris trade proposer of seasons past.

Re: Bucks News, Transactions, Trade Ideas
The thing that worries me about KM is that he seems to be a bad match up vs all of our EC playoff foes. Who is he a good matchup with? Indiana? nope Boston? Miami?

Khash shouldn't be relied on to D up anyone basically but other teams will have to match up to our juggernaut offense too.

Re: Bucks News, Transactions, Trade Ideas
Does anybody else feel like AJJ and Beauchamp should both be starters and get 30 + mins per game?
I have no stats to back this up but I feel like every time they are in the game they play great defense, go after the ball hard, and give big time effort and get the crowd going too. I am sure this has been talked about here. What is the general board consensus on this topic?

I don't hate it but I also don't think any of those dudes are playoff rotation guys when it actually matters, so kinda defeats the point of trading Bobby IMO. Aaron Wiggins on the other hand....

I fear you're right.. just trading KM to get younger and faster could backfire and now we have 1 less reliable-ish vet. So..... basically we have to hope Dame and Giannis can torch playoff teams more than Mids and Beas get torched? We already have young, fast, inconsisitant guys in our rotation. We probably still need at least 1 smaller move then.

Re: Bucks News, Transactions, Trade Ideas
Another school of thought would say that Dame's offense renders Middleton's offense obsolete since he's taking shots/playmaking away from Lillard who can get open at will, handle better and see the entire floor better. With that train of thought the focus shifts to Middleton's defensive, hustle, rebounding, etc.... IMO NOW is the time for MIddleton to shift his entire offensive focus to getting open 3's off of Dame and Giannis gravity instead of demanding the ball and shrugging off Dame. KM: noone wants to see you front rim fadeaways with 20 seconds left on the shot clock when we have a 16 point lead. KM: give Dame the ball and go stand in your favorite 3 point shot and shuffle around to get open and make it. KM: Every practice shoot 500 3's and challenge Beas, Green, Dame and Crowder to 3 point competitions until it's like a layup for you. Practice your cute 3 point celebration dance and the crowd will all love you again. This is how you stay as a good fit with this team and bend your knees a little more on D so that your heels aren't touching the ground because the EC playoff teams are going to drop you on your a$s and injure you again standing up too tall.

Dunn is a safe bet for the playoffs because of his defense. He's different than Jevon Carter because he's longer. Carter was tiny, whereas Dunn has the same standing reach as PJ.
Agree the others don't seem totally necessary. We should be able to get Dunn without giving up a rotation guy

Yes. Beasley remains our worst SG, but gets the minutes in a dream role simply because he's the only veteran.

That's the conundrum. That's why I believe you move Middleton to 6th man in order to tier his and Dames minutes more or move him for some fresh defensive legs.
Middleton's defense is now at the level where (especially as a 3rd option) his offense doesn't really make up the difference.
When Miami got their big 3, Bosh was able to transition from #1 guy on Toronto to an uber role playing defensive big. Middleton doesn't have it in him to do the same.
People want to tinker with Bobby and Pat trades which not only don't move the needle but also weaken an already sub par bench. The reality is if you want to do something significant, someone of significance has to go.
You can make the argument that they shouldn't do anything. I get that as well, but I just don't think they have the defensive horses to make a deep run. Trading Middleton for two high level defenders, imo, is the way to go. Weve got the offense to spare. How to get that done and who those guys are is another story.

Who is our best SG?

Let me ask it like this:
If one of our current shooting guards had to get a stop and a bucket, which one would you choose?

AJJ. Let him play until he fouls out, Beasley can have the other minutes.

I hope we're never in a situation, on a team with Giannis, Dame, and Khris, that the SG needs to get a bucket. Our SG should feed off of them, and that's it.
I wouldn't say any of the 3 is better than the other, they all have different skill sets.
