In one hand it has to be so hard to not play for what almost every game it seems and then come in and play your former team. But at this point whether he had a good game or not, it is clear Joe does not believe in him. Whether rightfully so or not again.

With that said we should all move on from any notion that he can contribute anything significant going to or in the playoffs.

Sadly I am going to say the same for Queta barring injuries.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Good win.

Just wish Tatum would get going a bit more. He’s been a bit underwhelming this season. Was expecting higher efficiency from him with the increased offensive firepower. He needs to get back to powering down smaller guys in the post.

Good to see Al has well and truly found his groove off the bench and Jaylen is playing much better recently.

Tomorrow is the second night of a back to back, which Horford rarely plays. Porzingis is nursing his calf injury. Kornet was out tonight with adductor tightness. Orlando is big and very physical.

Queta time.

Hauser should get more than 3 shots in 18 mins of play. Pritchard took just one shot, the ultimate sacrifice. Lamar brings energy and hustle but not much else. Maybe that's all we need from him on most nights.

And posters will claim Boston needs a scorer off the bench.. we can barely get shots for Hauser..

A while back I said that Jaylen should be giving up some of his 18.3 shots to Porzingis and Hauser. Didn't get much support, as I recall. I still believe that Jaylen would be better off taking around 14 QUALITY shots per game, even though he's best when he's aggressive. To put it bluntly, 22 points on 20 shots (TONIGHT) is NOT GOOD. NBA Champions average just over 1.3 Points Per Shot with a Team True Shooting percentage of around 55-56%. Jaylen is sub-par at 1.2 PPS and 53% True shooting %. Hauser does deserve more looks. So does Porzingis.

Tatum and White have the numbers to back up shooting more, but I don't think Tatum can get that many more "good looks" than he's getting already. Same with White. If I was spreading the wealth (as COACH), I'd shave Brown to feed Hauser and Zinger.

JT for VC

JB for CP

JT closed it out late in the 4th.

JB played well the whole game.

I wanted to see Drew Peterson play, and I'm sure I wasn't the only one that wished to see him out there

Welp, sounds like Luke is hurt and Zinger was not looking great physically in the 4th. Plus sitting Al? Bigs will be interesting tomorrow. Maybe well get our wish of more Queta and Lamar!

I'd rather shave Tatum's pull up 3s, its such a bad shot

Both improving their shot selection (which includes turning down shots in favor of quick passes/swings/kickouts) can only help the team. I know JT is already at 60%+ TS% but why not strive for 64 or 65% TS%? When he gets to the post or drives to the rim, good things happen. JT gets to the line more and conceals the fact that he does take questionable shots. JB being sub-league average in TS% for someone who takes so many shots is just unacceptable. JB just doesn't get to the line enough or shoot the 3 well enough. Add in the stretches where he has blinders on (happening less and less, credit to him), then that all amounts to subpar TEAM offense.

RANDOM STAT: Donovan Mitchell (31 pts) was just the 5th player who's scored 30+ points against the Celtics this season. Five such instances is still the least allowed among all teams.

After the consecutive losses to the Celtics, Mitchell is now 9-6 vs. Tatum. Joe Ingles (8-4), who we're facing tonight, now holds the highest win % vs. Tatum (minimum 10 games).

Jaylen and Tatum did score the most points but the game was won by the defense and honestly shooting luck, not by Jaylen and Tatum's low efficiency volume scoring.
