Black looked strong to close out those final couple of minutes!

you woulda thought the Magic learned from the Cavs game you cant let the refs change the gameplan, which is playing aggressive.

Perimeter defense and attack the basket. You win the game. Start **** around and getting into a shootout with them at home and you lose.

I mean it's still within reach... kind of...
Need to play a hell of a lot better, though. And play to our strengths.

This is a game where WCJ would be useful for sure, both offensively & defensively

Paolo and Franz - 5-16 FG made, 8 TOs, i think this sums up the first half.

Offensively I don't think the Magic were *that* bad outside of the turnovers. They got to the line, got to the rim. They didn't make threes, but they never really do.
Defensively was a mess. Goga trying to chase Stevens and Hauser (guys who aren't really anything) on the perimeter created several scramble rotations which inevitably led to wide open 3PTA or dunks.

yes sir....he's a more versatile defender than goga....he can get switched out on guards and not be totally exposed....could use both kelle and dell tonight

Also Suggs is playing with what broken, dislocated?! finger? This is admirable, but is it really needed in December?

Black, Suggs, Franz, Isaac, Goga to close the 2nd. That lineup has to work hard for points.

Well they're spreading it 5 out with guys who are athletic/quick enough to get to the basket after drawing our bigs out. This in turn offensively kills the spacing....
That's why the Magic were trying to go small. But that also weakens their defense.

Yup. It’s not even the Celtics beating us, really.
It’s just one of those games in losses we have had this year where the other team is on fire and gets the better benefit of the whistle, while we are continuously missing bunnies AND constantly turning the ball over unforced.
Oh and let’s throw in being posterized 3 times.

We're on pace for 28 threes. We average the least in the league, 29.
I feel like you're harping on the wrong things even though I understand and "get" the theory of feasting in the paint, but it's just not happening. They're turning the ball over and the defense is bad.
They can operate easier if they're able to prove they can hit outside shots.. until then..

Defense is our calling card. No defense. No victory. We're not going to outscore teams with pace.

You don't just bench players because they don't play well for a few minutes. Changing the rotation and style of play just fits right into their game plan. Boston doing a decent job being undersized but it isn't going to last especially as they get more tired.

We need some more 3s to win. Its tough tonfinish inside, Boston guards strong with quick hands.
I cant watch Suggs with pain on his face everytime someone touches his hand. He is a dog, but please bench him.

My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Really tough halg but they're still in range. Mosley has to start letting Black create some easy buckets as the ball handler instead of going to Paolo iso off the dribble so much. It's time.

Isaac might get his most mins this szn this game.
Running with Isaac as the 5 and as the help defender is probably best scheme wise, and having other players on board with knowing where to rotate when Isaac helps on drives is the best game plan i can think of, rotations havent been as tight tonight
