The part you’re overlooking is where he said “if you insult someone over their basketball opinion”

Are we pussies in here? Is this the Raptor forum or a Knick forum?

STFU and GTFO

Note he didn’t say you CAN’T insult someone over their basketball opinion, but IF you do, and the person appears to be right perhaps some humility is in order

Note that I my first comment on that had to do with his own hypocrisy. The insult part is irrelevant.

I guess some people just have a hard time admitting when they’re wrong. It’s a weakness of character.

I don’t go out of my way to dunk on him when he has a bad game, it’s actually the opposite, I try to dial back criticism as much as I can. I don’t do this with any other player other than RJ because so many people here like him for reasons unbeknownst to me. I hesitate to even post my trade ideas if they involve RJ. So this idea that people couldn’t wait to attack him over a bad game is just hilarious to me. If I said what I think about this dude (which still wouldn’t be half as bad as the way people discuss Randle every day) they’d probably send me on a trip to Belize with jimmit

All I can say is that I’m sorry this is happening

Missing out on a vacation to Belize with jimmit for the hive's safety is a horrible life choice.

Agreed. Though it is odd since All NBA Randle in the past and this year has been a BEAST passing the ball. He and Jalen are neck and neck in assists. The Athletic just had a write up about Julius and his passing. If only we had great/elite shooters...

Randle’s passing is mostly to open spot-up shooters, which isn’t RJ’s strength. In an alternate theoretical universe in which Chanel Bomber and I are one person, RJ would have developed as Thibs’ ball-dominant iso scorer with 5+ spray-out assists.

But here we are in this universe where it seems pretty clear that if RJ has any chance to develop as a star, it won’t be alongside Randle.

He’s been getting staggered with the second unit playing against opposing teams benches for long stretches already. It doesn’t matter

IDK what planet I’m living on, but my reality is pretty 100% clear that it does in fact matter a great deal whether a player is featured as a starter or whether he’s staggered off the bench.

Anyway, I won’t trigger another 10,000 paragraph rant on nature vs. nurture, but suffice it to say I personally think that RJ’s development has been forever stunted by playing alongside another ball-dominant lefty occupying identical airspace.

How is Randle responsible for another player missing wide open threes, blowing layups and dunks, refusing to pass, poor handle and athleticism?

Rj's lack of development isn't Randle or Thibs fault. He has been given every opportunity to flourish here. He gets a ton of playing time and a lot of touches for the lack of production.
This is what is annoying as hell. It's always someone else's fault, the fans, some ailment, or the new one I heard after playing in SLC - the altitude.

It is admittedly not totally unpleasant to see some of his obnoxious fans (not referring to people like Deeeez) scramble for answers. The line was crossed on many occasions and there's sweet irony in seeing their arrogance backfire. But that's them, not RJ.

The only lesson here is on how people choose to handle disagreement but I have no illusions regarding that.

I only live in reality. I don't have to scramble for answers either because I have been a realist about him the entire time. So have most of the people who have to deal with his detractors trolling. Those same people would have given up on Randle 5 years ago. Ironically, most of the RJ hate club are Randle fans today.

The only lesson here is that a bunch of jerk offs root against our players to satisfy some weak ass whack ass agenda.

Your argument was that people rejoice in him sucking, which I don't think is true at all. Just because someone accurately assesses that a player hasn't been good doesn't mean they're rooting against them.

I am however glad that some people who were obnoxious about him haven't been validated.

All your aggressive posting was for nothing. Imagine calling people "clown" over RJ.

I wasn't arguing. I was stating facts. People are out here celebrating like it's Christmas or Hanukah or Kwanzaa! They obviously have salty vaginas.
