A loss to the Golden State Warriors?

Right answer: Bolivia passes death penalty for political kidnapping. Link.

Really easy one: Who was an all-star for two different franchises in the same city?

Which NBA team executives played in the top pro league of another sport?

I can think of one obvious example, but perhaps there are more.

Same question for NBA head coaches.

I can think of two examples.

I can only think of Danny Ainge. No idea who the coaches are.

Danny Ainge was also a coach. :) Specifically, he coached the Suns, who I believe are the last team he played for, and are located near the Mormon areas in and around Utah. But as the story goes, his large Mormon family sat him down and said he was spending too little time with them, and accordingly he quit his coaching career midseason.

As for the other example I know of -- before joining the team he was most famous for playing on, he was one of the youngest player-coaches in NBA history. And before that he had a short pitching career.

I think it is Dave DeBusschere while in Detroit?

2 NBA teams are currently located in the State of New York. Which others have been located in New York State in the past? (In every case I can think of, the team had a different name back then.)

-Luke- wrote:Okay here's one that is probably easy, although there's another team I had in mind:

There are two NBA franchises where the leader in career points has more than twice as many points as the player in second place. Who are the two franchises (and the players)?

Dallas:
Nowitzki - 31.5k (almost)
Blackman - 16.6k

Indiana:
Miller - 25.2k (almost)
Smits - 12.8k

Cleveland:
LeBron - 23k
Ilgauskas - 10k

Chicago:
Jordan - 29.2k (almost)
Pippen - 15.1k

Only Cleveland then, as far as I could find.

There are many teams where the 1st leading scorer has double the points of the 3rd leading scorer, though.

Atlanta is an obvious guess, except that if so, Trae might have made it become false.

Dallas is a stronger guess, since Dirk lasted longer in Dallas than Nique did in Atlanta.

Utah is another, although I'd guess Stockton > Malone/2.

Malone - 36.3k
Stockton - 19.7k

Wilkins - 23.2k
Pettit - 20.8k
Hudson - 16.0k
Trae is currently 9th on the list, with 9.6k.

Rochester Royals

-- Yes. After stops in Cincinnati and Kansas City, they eventually became the Kings.

Syracuse Nationals

-- Yes. They became the Sixers.

NY Rens (pre-merger BAA or NBL)

-- Never heard of them, and Wikipedia doesn't suggest they became an NBA team.

Hint for another one: What other NY city seems big enough to once have had an NBA team?

Which NBA players became a:

-- Big-city mayor?
-- National-level US politician?
-- "Senior advisor" to his country's president?
-- Pathbreaking venture capitalist with a partner 1 1/2 feet shorter than he was? :D
