Impressed with our defense today. Offense can be so much better. That 3rd Q was a slog. JB going bonkers (17 in the 4th?) as an offensive strategy isn’t sustainable and replicable.

But, very pleased with Queta.

I love his screening. he seems like he's finding out where he needs to be, and I haven't felt like he didn't know where to be in a while. I wish we'd toss it up to him more.

I don’t mind Queta asking for the ball all the time. He is supposed to make himself available. Doesn’t seem to bother him if they don’t throw it up to him

I know, I don't mean for his sake, I want it for the team because we have missed opportunities with him and either missed a layup or had to bring it back out for nothing. Imagine when he starts getting lobs...

I just need him to get these few mins consistently. he hasn't been scoring but he has been doing his job.

JB for VC and Jrue easy CP for his defense on Banchero, plus providing some offense today.
But I LOVE what Pritchard and Queta are bringing off of the bench. Pritchard is consistently making an impact without having to make shots, and Queta is maybe 20% of what Rob was which is awesome for the low low price of absolutely nothing.

I would imagine that if he keeps playing like this, his contract gets converted to 'real' so he is the 15th guy and can play in the playoffs.

also SUCK IT, MAGIC.

Going 4-0 against Cle and Orl in back to back mini-series is very impressive. Its starting to feel like the Feb-April 2022 team rolling through whoever they faced

JT is regressing and JB is closing the gap rapidly.

Back to back first team all nba guy regressing at 25, because he’s only averaged second team all nba numbers the last month.

Seems likely. People are hilariously reactionary.

The Magic have been that "young up and coming team" since the mid 90s lol

1. Become young up and coming team.
2. Young stars leave franchise at beginning of prime.
3. Rinse & Repeat.

He's been worse this year than he was last, and worse this year than the year under Ime. Just look at his pull up jump shooting numbers. He can turn it around just by exercising some judgement with his shot selection and not relaxing so much when we have a lead. I'm not prognosticating here. The trend over the past two years has been down. You could argue only slightly but it's indisputably down.

Meanwhile Jaylen has raised his Assist to Turnover ratio from 1 to over 1.4, addressing his biggest weakness in a big way.

Nothing I said should be that controversial. It's not as if I said JB has surpassed JT, or that he would in the future.

That leaves 2 VC's for Tatum and 6 for Queta.

Not as a great a win as the shooting variance made it in the 4th but we were due for one of these nights.

Still musing on what final piece Brad should add to this mix...

At this point, I don’t even think we need one. Everything is set..maybe a Luke Kornet upgrade off the bench. I have my doubts on Pritchard in the playoffs though. If you play a team like the Heat, they will play him off the floor by going at him with Jimmy. But worst case scenario you play Dalano who is a really solid piece. So even the biggest doubts have solutions.

Brad Stevens has built something special here. If Tatum, Brown and Joe don’t choke it, this team can’t be matched.

The coolest thing about these two wins is they beat these dudes twice in two different ways. Small team playing fast, switching 1-5 defensively and really big, drop coverage, pounding them on the boards. They have answers for absolutely everything. Even the non Tatum minutes have been somewhat solved.
WHAT THEY GON’ SAY NOW? ‎ THANK YOU TRUTH!

I thought JT played a near perfect game in the first Orlando game. Only thing missing was his three point shooting which I have zero concern about.
