I never consider that, but you're right. Only the OP will recall this random thread in the middle of December during the holidays.

He's hopping someone will say something and that he can pull it out so he can say he's a true fan or something for being stupid.

I second the person who said these type of threads server no purpose and clutter the board and should just be instantly locked.

I'd get it if we just had a season ending injury for Giannis or something and it was a Bucks fan making it in general despair. As the odds in Vegas would have significantly moved in that kind of event.

But yeah I second this is just general board clutter and should just be instantly locked.

Yes, there are some competitors. But Sixers, Wolves, Bucks, Celtics, Nuggets are the only teams that have a chance. The top teams are just too stacked this year. Outside of those top 5 no other team has a chance of winning.

An though you could presume it comes to injuries, I postulate that the season is already over. An we may proceed to 2024-25.

Time to talk about next year.

What do you need this thread for? Are you that insecure? C'mon. Give me a break. There are plenty of good teams this year. No one knows **** about who's winning it all.

They better with being the second most expensive team in the East.

If not, this thread will live a long time.

2016-18 Warriors were the only team where title was mostly a done thing even before start of playoffs (even then 17-18 Warriors almost lost in WCF)...This Celtics team isn't as scary as that Warriors team. They are very good but I don't see them striking fear like those Warriors teams did. They don't have a top5 player...they only have one top15 player.

How's that not true ? Tatum is a top10 guy...but there is no other top15 player on team, I'd even say there is no other top20 player. It's a team which has lot of good players (top50) but only one of those is a top20 player. Porzingis is also injury prone which makes things even more uncertain

Agreed OP, don't let the haters dissuade you from the TRUTH - us Celtics fans KNOW we finna win it all this year and to be quite honest with you fam, we're gonna win next years mid-season tournament (this one was a fluke robbery loss scam) and we winning the title for 2025.

TRUE celtics fans know our greatness was built not bought and maxing out Brown with 400m was just paying greatness what GREATNESS deserves! Haters can't handle these facts but come June when we SWEPT the board of these LESSER teams we finna bump this thread and rejoice in the salt from haters.

Keep it up OP

I like it. I'm not sure I believe the confidence, but I like it nonetheless.

Celtics are awesome. I thought they had the best team in the league last year too though.

There's a lot that can happen in a series, and their reliance on the 3 point shot leaves a lot of room for variance in terms of losing to lesser teams if they hit a cold shooting stretch (as we saw with the Heat last year). Not to mention, the injury risks and accompanying lack of depth at certain spots.

But yeah, they're my favorite to win the title. Certainly not prohibitive favorites, but I don't think you actually believe that either.

Keeping tabs on this thread going forward, especially after BOS spanked the Magic twice in a row just recently so I have extra motivation to be petty if the Celtics fail.

Vet team beats injured roster of second and third year players twice at home in December and posters get some heavy balls making threads like this

Celtics fan checking in and can confirm I hate this thread.

I'm sure you'll find most of us do. Don't let this speak for the rest of us.
156-1 Celtics are frauds when pressure is put on them. They would have been toast if Luka was not stupid enough to foul himself out. Enjoy this ONE finals win. There will never be another with the Js and the Celtics cant afford stacked team.
The Celtics talent level has never been in question, it's whether they can keep them on the floor through July and whether their coaching will be up to snuff.

They seem to be less reliant on the 3 point shot. Before their latest home stand they were in the bottom half in 3 point shooting but were finding other ways to win.
