Poole's BPM is -7.6. Only two players in the league are worse.

The biggest problem I have with Poole is he somehow treated like a protected class of player by WUJ. If Deni, Gafford, or Kispert played like this they wouldn't see the light of day on the court.
At this point, we aren't helping his trade value by giving him an obligatory start. He's playing dreadful and he needs a reset, send him to the bench and let him figure it out there. Stop with the special treatment. His playing time with be predicated on him looking like an actual NBA player.

That doesn't surprise me. When Coulibaly comes in, it's addition by subtraction in every way possible. It means better players are taking higher percentage shots, the defense and rebounding is instantly much better, and the offensive flow is better.
Poo is the definition of team killer. And I don't agree with the "gotta pay someone" argument. I can buy it if it's an overpaid team oriented player like a Fred Van Fleet. A guy that's not worth the coin but still contributes positively. Poo doesn't do anything of the sort.

I pray every night that Poole balls out so we can trick someone into trading for him.

100% agree, and every team in the league knows this. His trade value is as far negative as a player can be.

The General Board has a "most hated player" poll, and Poole is on it, because he deserves to be.

TGW, I love you. Poo. You nearly had me spitting out coffee.

I figured this was the case ^, still doesn’t excuse his boneheaded decision making.

Re: Jump into the Poole Party: The Official Jordan Poole Thread
shooting is shooting and scoring is scoring. gil came from an even smaller role at GSW, at a younger age, and to arguably a worse roster.
there are levels to this. if Poole came in and put up 26ppg on sub-optimal efficiency and we had the same record, i'm sure the board would still be upset and making Amazingly Sucky threads but this is a level even below that. Poole's been so underwhelming that we're giving Kuz flowers for his 23/6/5 on 47/36/82 shooting regardless of record.
i've been trying to figure out if there was another player who got the rookie max and fell off the face of the productivity cliff like Poole. Andris Biedrins?

Technically Poole didn't get the rookie max. If i remember right his deal is roughly 20% of the cap, not 25%.
He sucks but i do expect his shooting to improve. Typically a guy shooting 85% from the foul line can make jumpers.

Last night's performance by Draymond puts The Punch into perspective, once again.

Re: Jump into the Poole Party: The Official Jordan Poole Thread
I'm interested in how the team is handling Poole. But first, can anyone quantify where he ranks as a starting 2 amongst other starting 2's in the league? If he's at or near the bottom, what conversation with the coach should take place? I assume the guy has some professional pride. Does he know he sucks? Is he interested in not sucking? If so, what would a good coach do to help him not suck?

I mean, nate posted something a few days ago showing him as practically the worst player in the league for his usage rate IIRC.

Re: Jump into the Poole Party: The Official Jordan Poole Thread
Oh no question about it... on the season so far, Jordan Poole's performance has been absolutely horrible -- likely among the 5-10 worst in the league.
Edit: the only thing that gives a person hope about Poole is that at 24 years old, he has already had one good season: 2021-22.
