Guys, he's going to be fired. Unless we're playing in the NFC Championship, he's gone after the last game the Packers play this year.

This is the same conversation we had last year before Barry miraculously saved his job with a few decent games at the end of the season. He needs to go, if nothing else to make sure LaFleur doesn’t change his mind again.

Yup. MLF is hoping that the pitchforks and torches get put away and they can rerun the staff again

I would truly be shocked if he isn't fired three Mondays from today.

I don't believe Barry gets fired, even at the end of the season, no matter what happens. MLF has a blind spot for him. I think he's hoping on just enough performance bump, where he can retain Barry for next year

Basically we are giving him another chance which scares me as MLF is loyal to a fault. MLF needs to focus attention on the young offense not divert attention to hold the hand of his veteran DC who has veteran players because they don’t know how to communicate. Insanity.

They just lost to Tommy Devito and let Baker Mayfield have a perfect QB rating against them. There's no chance they win three in a row right now, no matter who they're playing.

Last year Barry saved his job by dominating terrible QBs, this year he let Tommy DeVito & Baker Mayfield torch him in b2b weeks. The defense was the main reason we got back into the playoff race last season, this year they are the main reason we're falling out of it. Last year our defense was 20th in DVOA, this year it's 29th. There's some pretty big differences. That said if our defense does somehow turn around and completely shutdown Carolina, Minnesota, & Chicago and we somehow sneak into the playoffs where the defense has a respectable showing then I could see a world where he stays, but Barry basically needs to be perfect from here on out for that to happen

Exactly. Brining an interim DC won't change anything, we need a proper offseason to evaluate the best candidate and then bring some D coaches along the new DC.

Just wait for MLF to praise the defense after they play well against Bryce Young :D

I wonder if Lafleur lost the players with the lack of accountability re: Barry and the clown press conference he held today.

Green Bay will not win a Super Bowl with Lafleur. He is not a leader of men

He had an opportunity to unite the locker room and instead he decided to defend his buddy and fracture the locker room by blaming the players and backing his incompetent coordinator.

I truly believe MLF is a good coach but his fatal flaw will be hiring poor coordinators and being loyal to failed coaches. Barry will be the end of MLF in GB. He will point to our great performance against Carolina as a reason to keep him. The more public outcry there is to fire Barry the more emboldened MLF will be to keep Barry.

I truly believe LaFleurs ceiling is offensive coordinator, he isn’t head coach material.

I’ve seen some Packer guys on twitter with the “everyone calm down he’ll be gone at the end of the season” takes.

Are they really gonna put it past Lafleur to bring him back after a couple fools gold wins against a few of the most ass teams in the league?

Saw some rumors that the Steelers may let Tomlin go.

Idk what the hell they’re thinking over there but if that’s the case back up the brinks truck to bring him to Green Bay. He is the exact type a young team needs.

I'm not going to get worked up about it until after the season. If Barry isn't gone then I'll get worked up. He should have been gone a long time ago imo but I'm not upset he's not fired with 3 games left.

Social media has millions of coaching and GM experts who, with 20/20 hindsight, know exactly how to win every game.

Three playoff wins in the last 12 years.

Three playoff wins in the last 12 years.

With the corpse of Roethlisberger and the cavalcade of trash QBs he’s had that seems reasonable.

Tomlin's always been a solid coach, but he's been there 17 years. It's long past time he should have been out of there.

MLF did make some good points yesterday about the defense. You can have the right coverage call but if the players are out of position that's on the players and coaches. As the defensive backs coach Ryan Downard is also responsible. I didn't realize we had a "Pass rush specialist" coach but we do, Jason Rebrovich. When Tommy DeVito's sack totals are 6, 5, 6, 0, 7 and the Packers are the 0, something is terribly wrong. We have 2 "defensive quality control" coaches. A defensive "senior analyst". A defensive "passing game coordinator".

Bottom line is replacing Barry is step 1 but don't promote from within and whoever the new DC is he has to be able to overhaul the coaching staff however he wants. Now maybe the coaching staff is great and it's 100% defensive talent. I doubt it. I think it' a combination of both.

Lol, swap the nameplates on Mike Tomlin's resume from the last decade with MLF or Mike McCarthy and you guys would think he's the most overrated, incompetent buffoon of a coach and wonder how in the hell he kept his job for so long. Let's not ruin this great consensus we've achieved as a board. Barry is the problem and the entire secondary needs an overhaul.
