Ask me in late March when we know who is healthy for the playoffs. For example if Jokic breaks a hand or gets a serious leg injury Denver drops off the list. Likewise if KL goes down the clippers fall way down the list. Way too much time between then and now to know. Heck, we don’t even know what trade deadline moves can alter the equation.

Concern me the most, but Pels and Sacto are concerning as well. I suppose I should be concerned about OKC as well.

While we are flat out dominant at Target Center, we also now have the best road record in the league.

That’s a good list. I think that without taking into account injuries to us or them, my worries would be a team that can make mid-rangers at a cost-effective percentage, has some playoff experience, and enough size to hold up.

The Clippers and Suns have the shooting. Denver is probably the best team, but we’re a bad match up for them, reducing the advantages they normally hold against other teams. I don’t think OKC has the size, but Chet is good, and maybe he shakes off being dominated by Rudy last game. I still don’t think the Thunder have enough. I think the Pelicans or Lakers could beat us badly 1-2 games, but wouldn’t win a series. I doubt the Lakers or Clippers will be healthy for the playoffs, and you can’t count on Zion.

Here they come.

Come where? They are 6-19. They are already 9.5 games back of the 6 seed, which means the play-in tournament is likely their best-case scenario. And there's a good chance they'd have to get through teams like the Lakers and Suns once there.

I am talking about the 9-10 seed. Having Ja, Smart, and Kennard, all come back will turn them from an easy win to a real opponent. They might beat up the west and get to 38-39 wins. We play them on the 18th of January and 28th of February. I still think we have a matchup advantage, but I am not nearly as excited for those games as I was for the bonus game against them in December.

Refs are doing to the Pels what they did for the Pels to us. 4 fouls in 3 minutes including 2 on Zion. Funny to see them not allowed to play physical defense.

Grizz are 8 games behind HOU and NOP for the play-in spot. They also need to climb over GSW. Unless one of the teams have major injuries, I don't see them going anywhere even with Ja. I assumed they won't catch PHX and LAL.

If I'm reading you right you're giving them no shot at even making the play in or do I have that wrong?

Memphis did cut 9 points from the deficit in the 3rd. Can they pull a Wolves? I don't think so.

Welp, as I suspected, the Grizzlies might come back with a some mojo now that Ja is back and they are going to start upsetting and knocking off some good teams in random games. Going to be a really bad time to be a .500ish team in the west because the Grizzlies can easily cost you some precious games and cost you some seeding for the rest of the season. Wont be an easy out.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.
