With almost everyone enamored with Queta, do we really still need to trade five players + assets for Stewart (who we're not even sure Joe will play) or will we just pray to all of the gods that Joe play Queta more so he'll be ready for the playoffs when called upon?

Very pricey Beef Stew or free Quetadillas?

If we trade 8-9 players + assets we can get Beef Stew and Burks.

I keep seeing these reports of teams looking at him and Wall, but no one mentions which teams. Another report said half the league was in attendance.

Imagine some sort of 5 for 1 trade for Isaiah Stewart, then use the Grant TPE to bring in a couple of end of the bench pieces and Austin Rivers comes in as the third string PG.

BOS: Stewart, Konchar, Tillman, Rivers (as a FA signing)
DET: Kornet, Banton, Brissett, 2024 BOS first, 2nds from Memphis
MEM: Pritchard, Svi

Jrue/ Rivers
White/ Konchar/ Stevens
Brown/ Hauser/ Walsh
Tatum/ Horford/ Tillman
KP/ Stewart

Promote JD and/or Queta to the roster from their two-way (more likely one or the other leaving a space open for buyouts).

I just don't think it's realistic that the no. 1 seed in the east is gonna add 4 new players and get rid of 5 existing players in the middle of the season.

In fairness you're really not changing that much for the team that actually gets minutes. It's essentially swapping out 1 rotation player for another (2 if you count Kornet but I don't) and then just rolling over end of the bench players that haven't been able to establish themselves yet anyway. And all these end of the bench guys have only been with the team since this summer, so it's not exactly the biggest shakeup in the grand scheme of things.

I wouldn't say it's likely either, but ultimately a 3/4/5 for 1 trade would be necessary if you're looking to add any guys making 7-14m. And with Shams saying we're going to be aggressive in trying to address the bench I don't think you can count it out either.

I presume it's much more likely they target guys who'd fit into the Grant TPE, but the number of players who fit and who could actually crack our playoff rotation is really really limited.

After last night, it’s hard to think adding somebody who will barely be playing in 4th quarters will improve this team’s chances, unless they can help us be up about 20 with 5 minutes left

Austin Rivers, John Wall, scraping the bunghole of available NBA players...

How old is Austin? I thought he'd become a solid role player.

This is what I've been saying since forever. It's still up to our starters, in particular Tatum, to get us over the hump.

Instead of trading Brown, trade Tatum instead!

I’ve changed my stance on PP. I will only do the Caruso trade if the Bulls include two FRPs.

Cs really don't need Caruso IMO.

What the Cs have now is like a brotherhood.

So no major changes needed.

The chemistry and the camaraderie of the team is good.

Why mess it up?

Back in 2011 Ainge traded Perk for Jeff Green.
The Cs got the better player in Jeff Green, but it upset the guys in the locker room.

We really don't. If Joe wants the option of being able to go double big, maybe another big perhaps. Although I'm of the belief that we have capable options on our bench in Stephens and Brissett. They've been working with Oshea on his jumpshot and the last few I've seen in games have looked better. Obviously Stephens provides a different dimension as a speed big. Neither could start in the playoffs against good teams that would be able to expose that matchup but he could certainly come off the bench. Otherwise, I'm not sure what big options that will be available that will be better but you know Brad will come through with the guy ain't nobody knew was an option. Hell, Queta could be just what we were missing.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

They might not need him but if they can get him, I'm not sure why they would pass. He's like Derrick White with less offensive juice. Who wouldn't want that guy on their team ?
