Forcing Gobert into foul trouble is a legitimate strategy that every team should try to deploy.

Embiid is one of the most dominant players in the league skill wise and physically. Just because he's big doesn't mean you can reach and foul him without the whistle blowing.

It blatantly obviously he doesn’t play by the same rules as everyone else.

They call early touch fouls on anyone that defends him which makes the defenders back off. It’s then a layup line for him because they’re all afraid of picking up their next foul.

While this is happening, the refs have a bout of onset blindness and ignore the myriad of fouls he commits on the defensive end. (See multiple in this game)

That's my big frustration with it. Only one of the fouls called on Rudy Gobert has been a legitimate one, but he's been functionally taken out of the game completely. +14 in nineteen minutes, but he can't stay out there.

You can see how Minnesota players are going out of their way to try to not touch Joel Embiid, which kills the ability to contain him on drives. Just not an engaging or fun thing to watch, but in the end, it is the fault of the referees.

Go watch jokic and see how much he gets hack and then go watch Embiid, its night a day, my guy..This dude just needs to trip on his own legs, and the ref would literally call a foul. It's hilarious because I used to be a huge fan of him when he came to the league. Now, I can't stand watching him because of his flops.

I can't imagine what a monster Yao would be if he got those touch fouls like Embiid.
