If the reason wasn't because of threes and missed free throws, I'd agree but he doesn't really change that right now. TBH he shouldn't even be playing or cleared, he looks bad bad. If anything Moe and Isaac needed to eat those minutes. WCJ playing on a back to back so early is unlike our medical staff.

Yeah I hear ya. I'm looking at it from the angle that Goga has played well enough to not be a DNP, and like you said WCJ clearly does not look ready.

Coach Mose is gonna have to settle into a rotation at some point even if it hurts some feelings.

On a positive note, we aren't Detroit.

That's why I keep harping on Goga's contract.. politics are going to screw the guy I feel like. I mean I do get that they want to give WCJ a fair shake of not losing his spot due to injury, but he's kinda showing why his spot might get taken if this continues.

Pacers have been struggling a bit since their loss in the IST Final. Saturday is gonna be an interesting game.

Mose has lost me and im sure half the team with this indefensible decision to bench Goga. WCJ adds NOTHING to this team. Literally just a NPC running around out there. Atleast Goga gave us heart and hustle. Not sure how as a coach, you can preach effort and team first mentality all year, and then at the same time just dump Goga as soon as WCJ comes back, as if hes freaking Anthony Davis or something. This is the kind of weak minded decision that starts to erode the fabric of the team. On the other hand, what is there to lose from making WCJ earn his minutes back?

Just mind boggling ****. We are about to go on a big slide fellas.

Great game....If giannis didn't parade to the line every time he came down the court... we could have won that game. but happy to see sparks again.

Good on Jason for asking that question. Also asked him why Goga didn't play as well...

These questions are gonna crop up more if we continue to lose and not settle on a rotation.

Wendell should have never subbed back in this game.

Isaac was beasting on defense and Moe was scoring.

If Isaac played Center in the 4th, I would have liked our chances a whole lot more.

I think it was very fair to ask tonight and I don't like Mose's answer - WCJ clearly wasn't the answer. Not because of hindsight, but because he didn't have it all night. WCJ didn't earn the right to come back in because he was ineffective.

Overall though, our team isn't good enough to have a settled closing rotation (should just go to the best 5 players or at least one of P/Franz + 4 of the best players of the night), and our regular rotation is a bit of a mess too now that we're struggling. We have 2 starters who realistically "should" get a chance to earn back their minutes, but it also requires playing 11-12 players a game which is unrealistic. We have 2 rookies that fans are clamoring for more of, but will lead to more losses, and we have guys like Harris who are involved in a lot of our best on/off numbers but can't shoot at all.. and not to mention our big man decisions.

FO has their work cut out for them. If we make no moves at all and have Goga being UFA the entire year, it's not exactly making the decisions easy.

This will be a fun trade deadline and off-season, that's for sure.

He use to be a solid vet who shot the 3 well. He has had funks like this before….

Yep. Same with WCJ and Bulls. Teams aren’t stupid. They dump these guys for a reason. Both gotta go.

I had to watch that game on delay. Man, it’s a shame that one got away.

Some big positives:
- The super bench was back in full force tonight
- Cole was cooking and seemed to get anywhere he wanted against Milwaukee’s defense throwing great passes.
- Moe Wags back in form
- Isaac in beast mode on defense.

Tonight was one of those nights Mosley should’ve let Cole and Franz take over as they had it. Paolo should’ve taken a step back because he just wasn’t as effective.

Gary Harris should’ve been benched for rookie errors. Giving up 2 3pt fouls to Dame should be an autobenching. The fact he’s giving up 3’s to drive instead is a bad sign.

WCJ wasn’t as bad as I was expecting, but he gave us next to nothing. Why Mosley closed with him over Isaac is some kind of stubborn I don’t understand.

I think Mosley going to a shortened rotation is probably a good thing for getting guys in rhythm, but I don’t think he picked the best 9 tonight. I have a feeling he doesn’t like Goga, given the way he has handled his minutes and role.

Cold take: Isaac gets blocks, but his defense is nowhere as impressive as it was 3 years ago. Players now go at him, go around him, go below him, attack him off dribble. In past it was always bad decision on their behalf. He is still very good on defense ,but simply not that unsolvable mystery for offense like he was.

Still gonna intimidate you when he double blocks Giannis, and then gets a third later on. Just knowing he can do that is going to live in an opponent’s head in some fashion.
