Are there really no national TV games tonight?

That's weird, right?
Amos Barshad: "So you got a job, a place to live, a license? What’s left?"

Giannis: “Nothing. Just get a ring now.”

Lakers/Wolves on NBATV right now
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I'm irrationally high on Dre so nah. I'd trade MarJon/Pat/Portland 2nd for him in a heartbeat though.

So then we clearly have the assets to get Caruso if we wanted to and/if the Bulls liked Ajax and I think they should

That doesn't get Caruso. They asked for 2- 1sts last year, and a ton of teams want him.

2 firsts? Did he suddenly become not 29? That's ridiculous.

That is what they are asking for.

KAT quietly being 0.4% away from a 50/40/90 season seems like a storyline no one's talking about. Dude's always gonna have his detractors for not living up to his #1 overall pick expectations, but he's a generational offensive talent and it's great to see him prove all the "he's not a winning player" junk wrong.

Instead of the late game on ESPN being Suns/Kings, which could be interesting, we get Warriors/WIZARDS. The "return of Jordan Poole".

That is what they are asking for.

The 2 firsts talk was the "scoop" on Larry Nance too then they traded him for a (heavily) protected first.

I hope you're right. Incompetence is unpredictable, and they're seriously incompetent. Now we just need to find a way to acquire a protected 1st.

However, the Bull will do nothing until they deal Lavine, and they've played better without him. Cobe White is breaking out after years of mediocrity.

Heard we got a guy on our bench with all but guaranteed first round value ;).

Do the two commentators for the Warriors/Wizards game sound identical? I know I’m pretty high but even my in laws felt the same.

Would be pretty cool if Phoenix gave up on this experiment early and let KD go home to OKC for several unprotected 1sts and salary filler.

Also if Vogel's the fall guy we need to scoop him up as a lead assistant immediately.

Phoenix now 14-14 on the year.

Around 2004, Bill Simmons talked about the decline of Gary Payton with a great line. He said, he physically looks exactly like prime GP, talks like prime GP, but he no longer moves he needle like prime GP. He’s an average player.

Durant has moved into that conversation. He looks like prime Durant, scores like prime Durant (28pts tonight) but he doesn’t tilt the court anymore.

Sadly for Suns fans, their owner and Isiah intervened last year to give the Nets the farm for him.

Always remember to savor 2021, and how close we were to not taking advantage of that opportunity. If we hadn’t come back from the 0-2 deficit to beat the Suns.

We may never get back the Finals again. I know for a fact the Suns won’t.

That 2021 team was the last Chris Paul had to give, a contract year Ayton, hungry role player in Bridges. It just all came together for them, and then fell apart. Since then it’s been a **** of desperate moves, made under the assumption they have a title contending core. They do not.

I realize I may be opening a bit of a can of worms with what I'm about to say, but Westbrook got all the blame with the disintegration of that Thunder team when I thought the blame could be pretty equally distributed between Westbrook for his ball dominance, Durant for his passivity and Scott Brooks for the lack of offensive structure. Maybe 5 years ago Durant could take a bad team (which is what Phoenix is without Beal and Booker's frequent absences) and carry them for 2-3 months, but even that's a maybe. He's definitely not going to do that now.

The Suns are playing like what national media thinks of the bucks. The expectations were slightly different although not far off, but Giannis and dame would be getting killed if they were .500 atm. KD has a media shield for some reason.

I feel like we've talked about the weird one-sided love affair with NBA media and Kevin Durant, a lot of it seems to be about style of play.
