Paolo was determined to just attack the paint tonight. He was an absolute beast.

They should’ve sent Wendell to the G-league for 3-4 games

He needs reps more than anything.
He can get reps once he’s not wearing a soft cast on his hand.
Goga fits better with the starters, WCJr can join Isaac and help Moe at the 4/5 spots. I don't like Moe playing C anyways.

He's rusty... it's unfortunate he played only 6 games at the beginning of the year when the rest of the starters were also working their way back. Now he has to do it all over again with the rest of the guys already locked in, in mid-season mode. He'll he fine buy he'll likely take 1-3 more weeks to get back into shape.

Great win! Gonna rewatch since I didn't get a chance to put my full attention to the game. Hope you all have a Merry Christmas!

I know the free throw disparity was massive (and the only way we could have possibly erased the 3pt disparity), but honestly, despite that, I feel like Indiana actually got the better whistle in the game. The officials were trying to fix a nonexistent problem in the 3rd quarter. Yeah we had shot a ton of free throws, but that's because their defense was so horrendous any time we went to the basket.
Anyway, I was mad in the 3rd quarter and I still am mad about it. It's the NBA and teams make runs, but good teams don't just completely disregard every aspect of the gameplan for entire quarters. We battled back and it's a big win to get on the road against a conference playoff competitor, but we still have work to do. And WCJ is not an NBA level player right now. I don't want to be unfair to him and talk crap about him if he legitimately isn't physically right yet. But if he's not right yet, he shouldn't be playing, because he's killing us.

11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

Sitting Wendell another week isn't going to solve the "you can't play three centers" problem.
Somebody is going to get squeezed out, that's just the reality of the situation.

Idk if he's not healed, I don't think the docs would've cleared him if he wasn't.... I think it might be a combo of conditioning and the yips.... He's playing scared/soft, seems to be avoiding the smoke.... Trying to minimize contact.... For me I don't think he was ready to start..... Should've eased him off the benchSOUL wrote:More like Wendell Farter Jr!

That will cost us some games. Turner was going off on him.JF5 wrote:SOUL wrote:More like Wendell Farter Jr!

Agreed. Wcjr is gonna have to sit. I still would not trade him. Id rather go to the offseason with him still here so we can see if we can get Goga on a good deal. If someone over pays we still got Wcjr. If we can resign Goga then look to trade Wcjr. But for this year Goga just has to go back in. Wendell can still rehab and stay ready cause we may still need him for a sparkKnightro wrote:Sitting Wendell another week isn't going to solve the "you can't play three centers" problem.

While true, playing WCJ in this state doesn’t help his trade value

It's a short-term issue, but we heard the same points parroted over the offseason and we have/had a billion injuries like usual. I'm more worried about if we actually re-sign Goga or not and who we have as our future C in terms of investing in WCJ or not (once he's healed and if he works with our future).

I am totally unconcerned with the whole "we can't trade Carter because Goga is a UFA to be" thing.
If they trade Carter, then Goga all of a sudden is a starting center playing 30 MPG for a playoff caliber team and he would assuredly would not leave that situation.

I started watching the game when it was 81-76 Magic up.
Then the Pacers went on an 8-0 run and I closed outta my stream for the greater good of the team
Happy we pulled out the win on the road. We needed that

The "there's no room for player X because of player Y" thing is really more noticeable and problematic with positions where guys can't be on the floor at the same time like center and on-ball point guard.
It isn't really as big of an issue at SG/SF/PF.

Well when he's fully functional he's the best center this team has. You have to give him time like we've given everyone else time.

Yeah, but it seems like if someone is struggling (besides last game, for some reason?) that Mose will play whoever is impacting the game the most. They're all solid, but none are good enough to really complain about being yanked in a game they're sucking in. Depends on Isaac's injuries and health too - if we are still going to sit him some games, Moe can slot in at PF and Goga backup C.
But yeah, it is harder to work around lineup wise when all are healthy and should be playing.
