The Efficiency Landscape (Last 10 games)

Post#1 » by Scase » Fri Dec 22, 2023 5:23 pm

So as per Goldsberry, the raps are (unsurprisingly) looking worse as time goes on. The thing that stands out is not just that we aren't doing well, but we are smack-dab right there with teams that are outright tanking in the Blazers and Jazz.

Next 10 expectations? I think we can expect more of the same, possibly seeing us slip a little further, all depending on how bad the Sixers/Celtics stomp us. Any changes? Starting lineup, trades, g league call ups, or do we just (likely) keep on keeping on? My money is on the latter.

Also, I love the washington generals logo for the wiz

Can't believe we fired the best coach in the NBA before Bobby.

Love how our biggest trade partner candidates are grouped together with good offense and bad defense.

I find it hilarious that the Knicks are not part of the 'Club Thibs' quadrant, but rather 'The D'Antoni Quadrant'

Organic tanking/ delayed tanking is the name of the game. It's not morally damaging and doesn't hurt culture.

Masai is a genius.

I mean if we call a guy up from the gleague he's not going to play. The only interest I have in gleague guys is when we stop competing, I can see us bringing guys up then, but like we'll still have shroeder on the team.

I always look all over for the raptors logo, but i should just know that we're bad/mid and then I'll find the logo right away.

Jazz were projected to win around 33-35 games this year. They also went out and got John Collins. Jazz also don’t own their pick this year. It’s lightly protected. If the pick doesn't convey then the same protections will be on it for next year and then it will be protected 1-8 in 2026. I'd imagine the Jazz would rather get rid of that now in a weak draft then have that hang over them the next two years. Can we actually say the Jazz are trying to tank?

What's really sad is that there are only 5 teams on that chart with clearly worse overall efficiency than the Raptors (Pistons, Spurs, Wizards, Hornets, Jazz), it's arguable that unless this team finds a way to improve they could end up slipping in the standings even more.

Jazz also don't have Scottie, Los. Masai MAY be walking around without clothes, Los, but you better believe he's wearing some Teflon underpanties with the inscribed words "build around Scottie" embroidered onto them. Can Ainge say that?

We are truly middling right now and honestly, I can't really understand why. Scottie is playing bonkers and nailing threes, but nobody else seems to be able to buy a bucket these days.

That's what happens when you try and jam square pegs into round holes. Terrible roster construction.

We are officially mid, but it's an improvement from where we were, so I'll take it!

what a difference it has been
IQ and RJ have transformed the offense. More ball handling, shooting, cutting
different team

gotta get our defense going
