Re: PG: Bucks Steamroll Knicks for 7th Straight
Giannis is way in his bag compared to last year. His array of attacks is getting way less charges and more 1 v 1's that he can usually beat.
I like how Khris is seeking our 1v1s too instead of trying to dribble through traffic he's using leverage and physicality to get them off balance and go straight up instead of fading. I've always believed that unless you're cardio is Jordan, Lebron, Kobe, Ray, Reggie -like etc your fade away shots will hit the front of the rim in the 2nd half as you loose leg strength -- then over compensate and start shooting long. Khris hitting open 3s off gravity is still my 1st choice but this is my 2nd. He's also passing earlier on fast breaks before the trap which will be less turnovers.
Dame is a video game... so smooth and always seems to make the right play. With the Bucks I often am like why... why are you doing "blank" but with Dame it hasn't been like that. His mistakes have been few and right under the hoop getting defended which is timing stuff and not just ignorant mistakes. His shots always look good. He's like what we dreamed Mo Williams could become

Re: PG: Bucks Steamroll Knicks for 7th Straight
I do see what is coach doing now. I know that our schedulle is extreamly easy but now I think thats why coach decided to practice this now. He saw that schedulle too.
And I dont care about Lopez stats. He alone was our defense yesterday. The Knicks had to change so much of their shoots. Brook was defending everything between basket and 3 point line.
At the end of day we will need health and luck but now I think we have same chances as we did with Bud. With Bud we also needed health and luck.
So, I say, life is too short to worry. Lets enjoy wins and powerfull offense. At defense we dont allow free 3s anymore and Lopez protect paint. 99% of teams will not be able to beat us with long 2s and floaters. As long as our offense is this good. And it is stupid good right now.

Griffin actually uses Brook better than Bud did (and I was a Bud backer). Griffins defense simply does not give away 3 point attempts. We never need to talk about outlier games anymore. Brooks defense used to be exploited by 3s.

Beas has been a very good fit. Don't need numbers to see that.

Dame definitely not shooting well to start the season.
Anf. Simons, Donovan Mitchell & Curry have the same quality of attempts, while converting more (in ascending order).
Herro is making slightly more shots, while attempting slightly better looks.
Luckily for us his shooting always starts out shaky & ends strong, season to season. Going on that arch it'll be okay. Hopefully, that continues.

He was brutal to start the season with the exception of crunch time.
I think I looked the other day. Since mid November(Toronto game). He's about 45% from the field and 47% from 3.
It was no secret he came in out of shape and hadn't touched a basketball in months. I'm not sure if that's normal for him or if this year was an exception because of his divorce.

Beas could average 20/8/7 shoot 45% from 3 n shootingtheJ would still rip on him AJJ or marjon could average 5/3/3 n shootingtheJ would call them untouchable dont think theres anything beas could do that would make that man happy
Not one mention of defense here, the thing this team desperately needs to be a true contender, yet I'm somehow being unfair.
It's also laughable to post a potential stat line for Beas that includes 7 assists from Beas. He needs 6 games to get that many.
The point is your such a beas hater that evrn if he averaged those above stats you still wouldnt give him any credit would still be he sucks n AJJ or fr... marjon should be starting

How do you know? You're not existing in reality. You don't exist in a world where defense is half the game. You're making up impossible stats for Beas because in reality he's a bad passer.
It's like me saying the Bucks could have prime Jordan, but you'd rather start Beasley.

Normal for him. He gets better every month each year.

Re: PG: Bucks Steamroll Knicks for 7th Straight
While I absolutely love ajj and mjb and a little love for aj green, beas is so much better than advertised.
Just keep hitting those open 3s over and over and over again. He's making teams pay for leaving him open while trying to stop giannis and dame.
My hope is ajj can eventually become a defensive specialist who can hit corner 3s in the mold of a PJ tucker type... Not a clone but be one of those defensive dogs.
I might be aiming too high to hope he could be that in the playoffs. I still think the potential is there.

Pretty sure he said he didn’t do anything in the offseason because the trade was happening and he didn’t want to risk injury.

Knicks announcers (because I listen to opponent announcers instead of Novakain) were definitely praising Dre. “He really gets into players defensively.” The rest of the time they were saying, we know the Knicks can score on this team but how do we stop them? “All five of their starters can burn you in multiple ways.”
They were insanely impressed with Midds.
I think it was Breen and Wally Z yesterday.

It'll matter versus the Celtics and Nuggets. Maybe the Wolves are that good too?

My only thing with that is we have seen super teams with that philosophy before, defense doesn't matter, and they failed miserably. The nets come to mind.
I still think a top 15 defense is required.
Doesn't need to be elite. Just average.

I think team defense will still matter, individual iso defense might not, but we won’t know until they’re getting attacked every possession in a tough playoff series. The defense has been really good with those three in together so far which is a great sign.
Almost all of the possessions with those 3 on the court is the starting lineup. I would like to see how the defense will fare without Brook in a smaller lineup but we haven’t had many opportunities due to injuries and Midds minutes restriction.
Lots of things to look forward to in the next couple months depending on how the roster shapes up and all the guys get more comfortable.
