JD Davison, as athletic as he is, is not yet an NBA player.

Just doesn't have the bball IQ.

Im having trouble finding a target that wouldnt involve heavy draft compensation (like JJJ if Memphis decided to blow it up -longshot, I know).

It looks like Memphis is attempting to crawl this season out of the wreckage with Morant back.

If they don't succeed and decide to blow it up, Santi Aldama is the guy I'd go after. His contract is good, so one player, like Banton, plus juicy picks. Or the TPE?

Anyway, a pipe dream. Aldama would fit like a glove in Boston's offense.

Banton/Svi for Aldama/Konchar works. What else would have to be included?

Assuming Memphis falls apart, which I don't think they will. My be back in the playoff hunt by February. A lot depends on JJJ and Morant taking that next step in maturity.

Queta to Orlando for Franz Wagner (G Williams TPE). Celtics probably giving up way too much.

Is Saddiq Bey a realistic option? I get that he’s a FA end of the year so that carries a bit of do we even want to resign him. Hawks seemed to pass so if they start to slip more isn’t it possible they’d take assets for him? Seems like he’d be a good fit off the bench with the grant TPE. Maybe he will just want too much money but with how hard it will be to acquire talent it might be worth taking a chance here

I would think he is an option. Doubt he’s untouchable for the Hawks

Can the Celtics actually move Horford?

Cs not trading Al.

He's part of why the Cs are great this season.

The defensive positioning by Al is absolutely brilliant. Always has been. You can't replace that.
Remember his Hawks days? Celtics players would drive and either Millsap or Horford was right there to meet them.

With the emergence of Queta and the solid play of PP, I'd like them to get a wing who can handle the ball and be able to make plays for others. Naji Marshall is 6'6" and makes 1.9mil. He's a dog on D. He's in the last year of his contract and with N. O. healthy now, his minutes are down. They have plenty of wings but could probably use an alternative to the fragile Larry Nance (Brissett)?

Interesting. The way Brissett is playing the last couple games I don’t mind standing pat. But Naji might be a good fit.

I probably wouldn't trade for anyone unless that player can become a playoff rotation piece. Our regular season roster is fine. Barring injuries of course. The real question becomes who would be actually be possible to trade for considering our Cap restraints?

It’s the “barring injuries” why you make a trade. This year is all in. Next year, who knows?

Plus if a guy that becomes available that can be a rotation player long term at a fair price…we have to do it. Acquiring talent will be tough. I would definitely be in favor of using a first for someone, that we resign long term.

Problem is injuries are unpredictable.. Unless they happen before the trade deadline. It's hard to know who and what position to go after.. Unless you mean big man since we have an injury history at that position..

I like Oshae and hope he continues to improve but guess what? He has a player option next year. If he plays great which we need, he’s likely gone. So that’s the issue we have to be able to fill these spots with real talent that we can lock up.

We have our big man rotation; With Porzingis and Horford, all we need to do is sign Queta to the regular roster so he will be available for the playoffs, and also keep Kornet so we have the depth we need.

With Pritchard playing like he is and White and Holiday ahead of him and Banton as an emergency PG, we seem to be good there. I do not think DJ is ready at all...yet.

With Brissette is coming around and Hauser firmly set in the rotation, we have enough 3/4 types to give Tatum some rest.

I am disappointed with Stevens lack of playing time and Svi's lack of shooting. Maybe we could use one or both f these and a pick to get a rotation player at the 2/3 slot to cover for Brown. Just a thought.

Get quality at any position if you can. I prefer another wing
