No chance he’s retained after the season anyway, even if they make the playoffs, so best case he has the job for maybe a few extra weeks. But if MLF doesn’t fire him this week, and almost assuredly the Packer D plays poorly again vs Vikings and Bears, I can see Lambeau in that last week vs Bears just booing Barry mercilessly. Fire Barry chants. Booing the defense at timeouts. Signs with stuff about Barry for all the tv cameras. Is that how MLF wants his friend to go out? It’s one thing to be criticized on Twitter or by a beat reporter, but a literal stadium of fans angrily booing you in the final home game? Man that’s terrible. For his sake just let him go this week.
Being booed while the D is on the field wouldn't do much for many of the players either - whether they need to be called out or not. Barry's up in the booth, they're on the field, so the brunt of fan ire appears to fall on them.
MLF: past time to hold Barry accountable for his part in the Defensive problems. Show him the gate this week.
