I like the skillset Lofton brings. He's got a nice touch around the basket, he's a silky smooth shooter, and he's an above average passer. There is a lot to work with here. Isaiah Thomas's first impression of Charles Barkley was that he just a big fat boy out there on the court...Until he had to play against him. Obviously the conditioning and build is a work in progress with Lofton, but Nikola Jokic isn't exactly the model for what an NBA should look like either and he's doing ok. I realize there have been quite a few of these types that have ate their way out of the league or just flat out couldn't get it done (Robert Traylor, Oliver Miller, Michael Sweetney), but Lofton has a different look to him. This kid is 21 years old and already a bully on the floor whenever he's gotten minutes. The bad thing is that he's gotten most of his looks in garbage time of games. Obviously he's not quite ready to contribute on a winning team, but I am really excited to see how this all works out. Can Embiid work with him? Can Rico Hines get him to another level? Can he at the very least get his conditioning where it needs to be to be able to get minutes on a Nick Nurse coached team? He's got a bit of a mountain to climb for sure, but he really couldn't be in a better spot between the team/players and the coaches.

I type all this up, watch a couple hours of mixtapes on this kid, read up on him and he'll be waived in two weeks lol. Nah, I hope not. I hope we have some patience with him because he definitely looks like he belongs in the NBA.

I feel good about this. He knows he's better than a 2-way guy who just got waived and I expect he'll respond accordingly. Love seeing that our front office see's the same and was able to ink him to a zero risk 2-way deal. Nothing to dislike about it.

I've been watching videos and reading about him for the last two hours. He put in work on both Wemby and Holmgren. Now that's not to say that they'd just shoot right over top of him on the other end, but this kid can score on anyone trying to guard him. He's extremely physical. Right now call him the dollar store version of Zion, but who knows man? If he puts in the time and effort, we might have something here. The way I see it is he's got some good examples in front of him that are leading the way. Tobias is a professional through and through, Tyrese Maxey is a gym rat and a tireless worker, Pat Bev will be on his ass like a drill sergeant, and of course Joel himself will be there to coach him up too. Nic Batum, Roco, Melton...He's got some good vets around him to show him the way. I love this addition.

Like I said, nothing to dislike about this add. Kenny can play. All upside.... zero risk.

I hope Eagles fans get in his ear about transitioning to football. Jeff Stoutland would turn him into a beastly offensive tackle.
I'd argue he embodies "basketball player" despite his body type. Sure, there's work to be done, but I see no reason why he can't develop into a poor man's Pekovic/Randolph type and fight his way into a rotation.

Those were considerably taller players.

This team is as fun as any since AI. Maxey spearheads the fun.

Joel is missing the christmas game and it seems he' isn't traveling to Miami at all.

I wonder if he's gonna miss more games on the road

The team seems to have adjusted to playing without Nerlens so I think they'll be ok.

Lofton has skill, but he would have to undergo a complete body transformation to even ride an NBA bench. It's not likely, but on a two way it's worth a shot.

Durant already souring on Phoenix lol. Not sure what he expected with the Booker/Beal thing...

Boston looking really scary.

If we dont make a couple of agressive moves there is no chance in hell against them.

I think it's totally within reason to expect him to make a final 15. His barriers have nothing to do with talent and everything to do with conditioning. I could see him putting in enough work to earn some job security.

Boston looks unbeatable. It'll be a great finals matchup between them and Denver this year.

What do you think about the possibility of Dejounte Murray coming to the Sixers? I think he would make a good pairing with Maxey. Dejounte is also 27 years old.

Would definitely be interested but I’d be surprised if we could put the best offer together. Essentially just flip the whole Harden package for him?

I sure as hell hope not.

The only guy who has reported interest from the Sixers is Shams, and he''s most likely trying to create a market for Lavine because of Klutch.

I doubt Morey is interested, mainly because of the contract Lavine has. But what do i know
