Tatum defended AD a team high 23 possessions, and allowed 4 points on 4 shots lol. One of the main reasons the Celtics can go small so often is because Tatum can be used as a 4/5 defensively against most teams. His turnover issues that he had for a few weeks seems to be all figured out now, just need to clean up the shot selection a bit, but we know he drives way more in the playoffs anyways, so it’s not something I bother worrying about.

I’m running out of ways to describe how amazing White has been. He’s great at every aspect of the game, doesn’t matter what. The all star game thing has become a lightning rod discussion, but he’s absolutely worthy of making it, as of now. Doesn’t mean he will, as other guys are also deserving, but someone like White should be rewarded IMO.

VC to KP and White. They both played really well.

Jrue was also really good with 18 points on just 10 shots, with 7 rebounds and 7 assists.

Tatum also had a really good game.

Pritchard was good in the 1st half, scoring 10 straight points for the team during that half.

I went KP for VC and White for CP. Holiday was awesome (becoming underrated in this forum). Tatum controlled the game, Brown, Pritchard and Horford all played great.

First time Queta was a negative in plus/minus in a very long time. AD will do that to you.

Great response by the Celtics losing to GS with 3 straight wins on the road against tough teams. Bucks and Sixers both lost too. It was a Merry Christmas!

I started liking Tatum less last season for the first time because It was obvious to me he was more focused on stats.
Aside from that, he is also not a high BBIQ guy. He isn't Brown level low BBIQ. Brown has actually improved in that area.

That right there was a low BBIQ move. I'm watching it live and I'm thinking what is he doing? That cost White a TO because Tatum got out of the way and a Laker player picked it up. If Tatum had caught the ball, the shot clock violation would have been a team TO.

Both Tatum and Brown do a lot of good things on the floor. But I'm glad we have White, KP and Jrue on the team.

The award doesn't exist, but Jrue and White should win the Backcourt Teammates of the Year award. You can plug those two into any lineup in the league and they will find a way to be successful. Both guys are selfless, well-rounded, and team players. Celtics fans should feel grateful for this combo.

They were both passing the ball around in jest, thinking whoever gets it last gets a turnover.

D.White DPOY, prime White is better player than Smart.
We won 3 out 4 game on West.

Last 2 playoff years, Smart's minutes for us were 760 & 679. D. White's were 585 and 593. Imagine if those were flip flopped. And we won't even go there regarding how many games we closed with Smart or Brogdon while White sat on the bench.

Eh I think White has really improved since about January this year.

His first year with us he really struggled in the finals (except game 1) and the Warriors went on runs when he was meant to anchor the bench.

Since January he has played with a confidence that I didn’t see previously. Smart’s injury absencd forced him into a bigger role and I think he finally realised he’s good enough to be more of a factor in games.

I didn't even notice live. This the **** we don't see while we complain about him being too passive or whatever. He can impact the game without putting up 30+. His two-man game with DWhite is especially deadly.

The Celtics were up 11 with 5 seconds left lmao, the Lakers weren’t going to do anything.

They were both guilty of doing the same exact thing, which is why they were laughing the whole time. I don’t even understand how anyone can think otherwise. It’s the dumbest thing I could ever imagine anyone reading into, and yet, we actually have people that have. It’s embarrassing behavior, but not overtly surprising, considering.
