I wouldn't mind Jalen Green depending on the price. He's still young and has potential.

That said, not sure it signals a trade is coming. Kid probably just bored and wants attention.

He’s an inefficient scorer being a pylon on d. Hard pass.

I love how Shams explicity says "in free agency" and everyone just ignores it lol.

Grizzlies gotta be looking to make a trade here soon I would think. They are playing Vince Williams Jr 33 minutes a night since Ja returned. They might be a sleeper team to look out for in a OG or Siakam trade (or even a Poeltl trade really).

They own the 2nd most favorable of WAS/PHO/MEM's 1st in 2024 and 2030 as well as all their picks. Some solid younger guys to take fliers on in Aldama or Zaire Williams, as well as Adams/Clarke who are out for the year but are easy salary fill.

There main 4 are Smart/Ja/Bane/JJJ - I could see any 3 of our main trade targets fitting into that lineup pretty seemlessly.

Edit: Smart also seems like a weird fit there. I could see him moved
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

Everyone knows the Raptors only make trades with Bobby Websters best friend Brian Wright

Only make spurs offers so its realistic.

With Dejounte being officially on the market and the Hawks creaming themselves over Siakam for the better part of the last 2 years I think a trade around these two is increasingly more likely*

*Unless we opt for a complete rebuild and deal Pascal/OG/Turtle for pure futures.

I have not been that impressed by Murray and frankly, if we are so obsessed by age, Murray is 27, my ideal trade has a couple of guys who are in the league already, recently drafted so in the 20-23 age bracket, and have solid upside. Jalen Johnson would be the Hawk most interesting to me with Kobe Bufkin as a longer term development piece. Beyond that, throw in some deadweight salary and a pick or two.

Murray plays better when Young is out and he can assume full control at the pg spot. He averaged 25/6/8 when Young was out last season.

JJ is yet another 3/4, I think we'd again be too crowded at that position. If we're blowing it up and both Siakam and OG are out, then it would make sense, but if we're opting for a retool Murray/Siakam swap makes sense imo. Maybe we can get Kobe thrown in since he's getting zero pt on Atlanta.

Pascal and stuff for murray and young stuff
Og and stuff for rj barrett and young stuff

Someone on this forum suggested og, flynn and jakob for rj, quickley and harkenstein — this looks like a win win trade.

Maybe this could be followed up with a capela and murray for pascal and something trade

Honestly Pascal for DJM/Hunter is fair value but I still hope we squeeze a pick out of it. SAC '24 1st comes to mind.

Memphis is a prime trading partner for OG so we could possibly look to dump him there if we aren't confident in re-signing him or don't want to give him a max. OG for Smart and 2-3 1sts is a pretty good deal.

Smart/DJM/Hunter/Barnes/Poeltl is a more balanced line-up with a better bench to boot and you get 2-4 1sts out of it.

Dejounte Murray, AJ Griffin, Kobe Bufkin and Clint Capela for Pascal, Precious, Flynn and Temple.

Capela, Kobe Bufkin for Emaunel Quickley and Evan Fournier

PG Schroder/Quickley
SG Dejounte/Trent
SG OG - Dick/Otto
PF Barnes - Boucher
C Poeltl - Thaddeus/Jontay

I would be okay with Smart, 2024 and 2026 1st pick. Maybe they keep the 2023 since they'll be around .500.

This team is a second round exit the absolute best and doesn't deliver enough future value to incentivize the mediocrity and/or the length of time we'd be at that ceiling.
