And here you are again derailing the thread. Do you offer any real stats/data/takes or do you just post the same thing over and over again? I ask rhetorically.

It is laughable how many of your posts literally provide zero value.

Apparently you can't say Scoot had a few nice drives or it is shifting the goal posts? Do I have to make every post about him negative? Would that make you feel better and help you sleep at night? Or do you just lay there dreaming to wake up and be able to post something about laptaking blah blah blah.

Your reply was ten times longer than my comment but I derailed the thread? Lmaooooooooooo

notice how no one is bringing up the Thompson twins threads at all, or even the Brandon Miller thread, even in bad games and even the people on this board that weren't the biggest fans, because people understand that we're talking about rookies and not all players develop linearly.

yet the last 20 pages have just been usual suspect weasels coming in this thread chest pumping after because Scoot wasn't dropping 20 pt double doubles immediately.

I will say that the Thompson twins are shooting so badly that I think their best shot may be at PF next to a center who bombs threes.

I'm pretty alarmed at 15% from three.

I think they're big enough to play PF in the future...

I definatley dont think they are big enough to play PF outside favorable matchups.

Everyone knew they had shooting issues. They basically offer all the other skills you could want. But that shooting is prohibitive, if they cant be at least just 'bad' from 3 then they are going to be really hard to play in games that count down the stretch.

Gotta give them 3 years to see how that shot develops IMO.

That pass was sick. I'm on the Scootwagon. Future MVP.

His defense has been better than advertised and his ball movement as well. For a lead guard he really doesnt pound the rock too much, keeps it moving. And his passing vision flashes at times to a level that I wasnt quite expecting.

The difference between his first few games to the games he has played since coming back from injury is wild. Like could he actually have been impacted by not having glasses to that extent? Its insane.

He is a very, very willing passer who is always so excited for his teammates. And he's always up in everyone's grill defensively with energy. Which is so fun to see as a rookie.

IMO everything that is an issue with him right now is all stuff that's fixable. He seems like he's a very hard worker and only wants to improve. He's very humble, talking about how he knows he has to keep working and he has a lot to get better at. Great head on the shoulders of an even greater kid.

I think a lot of people were expecting him to be like D Rose, Morant and Westbrook re: dunks (he's had some very nice dunks though) to the point they're ignoring he's crazy fast, uber strong (like overall - not just for a nineteen year old, dude's strong) and still gets up.

yea I don't understand, he doesn't have Ja's hang time but that's not what makes him a great athlete, it's the combination of speed to power at his size, strength, ability to get up from both one or two feet, palm the basketball with one hand, etc. he has a GREAT physical profile. it's more Baron Davis than D Rose but still great.

His pre draft hype had him Westbrook, Rose, Ja type athleticism. He doesn’t even look on Lillard’s level especially form first step pov

His first step isn’t all that impressive tbh

no it didnt - if you read or talked to anyone that knew what they were talking about. everyone knew he doesn't have Ja's or D-Rose's hang time because he has like 20 pounds on both of them. that's not what made him a great athlete.

He’s not Baron athletically either lol. Scoot is cool but is mid tier for PGs athletically. Strength and length at the position is prob his most impressive thign

Nah man you ain’t watching or you just don’t have good eyes. His burst is very good and if defenders eventually have to worry about his shot it’s over.
