That's always been an issue for Obi. He gets most of his points in transition, so when the opposing team shoots, he sprints down the floor hoping someone on his squad will grab the board and get him an easy look.

If he actually tries to box out and secure a board, he's not going to score much in a half-court setting.

I think the league markets the aging Jokic, Victor and Chet as the faces of the league. Are there plenty of great emerging guards and wings? Absolutely. But I think they will choose to promote the two up and coming, soon to be dominating young bigs and the already present GOAT all around big.
Remember, it's marketing. I think it'll play in the USA but especially in Europe.
They deserve it
